Hotel Impero, Rome - Reviews & Ratings"Good value for money but room for improvement." (97134572)
Ideally located in centre of Rome with 5 mins walk to train station and Metro system.
Air conditioning was faulty. Very small bathroom. Shower operation a bit temperamental with shower curtain rendered almost useless.

Hotel Impero, Rome - Reviews & Ratings"We were looking for a cheapish hotel in a location which would make exploring Rome's historical areas easy and that is exactly what we got. The shower head was broken but to be fair we didn't actually mention that to anyone since we were only staying for a short time. The breakfast was geared towards an American taste- very sweet, pastries, even the croisant had sugar on them. There were boiled eggs but some of the gorgeous Italian cold meats or fresh fruits would have been nice. Great coffee. We would like to have known about eating places nearby e.g. the little pizzaria at the end of Via Viminale was super. Very reasonable and very good service but we came across it by chance. There was a great roof terrace but there was nowhere to sit on it.(We were there in early April so this may change later in the season) A small kettle with tea and/or coffee would have been welcome after a long journey and for anyone who has problems climbing stairs be aware that the lift only goes to the fourth floor, after that there are two flights of stairs to climb to get to the top floor/roof terrace. So although I have said I wouldn't recommend this hotel, a recommendation would depend on what you were looking for." (97939682)
Close to Termini so easy transfer from airport. Clean. Helpful staff. Comfy bed. Nice on suite. Good instructions on how to get to hotel. Great view from roof.
Room appearance did not match any on website, seemed to be in roof space. Walls very thin.

Hotel Impero, Rome - Reviews & Ratings"Were were allocated a small room on the roof which was very poor value for the money we paid. The room was cold and not very comfortable considering there was a gale blowing outside on the roof, when we went to reception to request a change of room we were told the hotel was full and that we should use the fan heater in the bedroom to warm it up. There was not much choice for breakfast." (99079595)
Good location for visiting the sights we wanted to see
Very small roof top room

Bathroom was clean and a good size. We liked the heated towel rack. Breakfast was fine, comparable to others. Good location, elevator was helpful. Helpful that they were able to store our luggage after we checked out.
Poor lighting in the room, room was small and so was the television, lack of English-speaking TV stations. Not told about all of the amenities when we checked in.
