"I would not stay in this Hotel or others like it again if aware of the state or condition. I would have thought the quality would have been much higher due to the cost indicated. The building requires a complete refurbishement, the fittings and fixtures were ready for replacement, the fridge was leaking water all over the carpet, the bed springs were comming through the matress. The shower and wc were very poor, the place requires huge investment." (97668268)

The room was small, poor ventilation due to no way of locking window in open position at night, and risk from balcony access to window from intruders.

Convenient location for events at Earls court & close to the tube station (few yards down the road) and with good selection of shops, pubs, cafes & restaurants in close proximity by walking (next street).

    Standard of room.

Always warm and quiet as our room was ground floor. Very central location with great supermarket and tube station very close.

We booked a room with kitchenette to save money but there were no cooking utensils or pots at all. The bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor.

"Weakness: our room was located under the reception and close the breakfast room, so it was noisy. The bath is very small. The breakfast room is small and the breakfast is a little bit poor but sufficient. Strenghts: the price, the clean, the location (near the tube, 100 mt. and central) and the room was warm. Maybe a room in un upper floor was better. I think it's not difficult to find a better accomodation in London, but you can also find a worse one." (99753835)

    Location and prices

The room was noisy, cause it was near the breakfast room and under the reception

"As already stated, very tired run down old building, basically like living in a student flat. Was most definately low-priced by London standards, but at $154.25 New Zealand dollars per night pricey to us for what it was. Having said that, the staff were available 24 hours /day and were without exception friendly and helpful, and willing to assist with local knowledge which was much appreciated - thanks guys. Would recommend on basis of location, staff and relativly low price for London." (3304596917)

helpful staff despite some having little english

Very tired run down old building. Hand held shower only. Electrical plugs wired to timers so that fan turned off every 30 mins (there during heat wave). vacuum cleaner and rubbish bags leaning against our hotel room door.

"Overall good value for money. You get what you pay for. Would be useful for room fans available for hire especially in summer. Hotel is in an excellent location near the tube station although nothing much to do nearby (no pubs or restaurants) but there is a 24 hour tescos nearby." (3304814979)

The kitchen was useful as the breakfast is not worth having (just toast and cereal).

When checking in we were sent to the wrong room on the top floor. We were also told we had to change rooms the day after. Our first room was on the top floor and the heat was unbearable.

Understandably we stayed during the summer so you expect it to be hot however we did keep the window open all night and all day and still the room was hot and stuffy to sleep in.

"Firstly I was extremely frustated at the fact that the hotel was divided into 3 parts so I had to run around in the heat to find the building holding the reception. The room door was sloping such that there waas a huge gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. The window was disgustingly dirty. The outer door of the part of the hotel which I was in could not be locked so it was very unsecure." (3304878209)

"the room was small and cramped. It seemed to be a single room with a double bed in it. The room had a balcony which was also accssible from the building next door which meant I had to keep the doors closed for security which made the room intolerably hot. The curtains in the room wouldnt close properly which meant in the eening when the lights were on people across from the hotel could potentialy look in The wardrobe had neither shelves nor a rail to hang clothes on and the dressing table had three drawers - one which was useable, one which wouldnt open and one that was filled with broken glass The shower head had no bracket to attach it to the wall which meant holding it above myself to shower. Also when I checked in I asked about left luggage and was told that they didnt have a left luggage room/area but i could leave my bags in the lobby area for a few hours when i checked out" (3304459645)

the fridge and kitchette were useful

No help with luggage for 3rd floor room and no lift; I have a disability. smell of paint everywhere and no notices; ruined a new suit when I brushed against something painted. Paint on carpets as well as walls. windows did not keep out the noise and the door fitted badly although the lock worked. I would not recommend this hotel and left as soon as I could." (3304898124)

"I found the hotel, clean and sufficiently comfortable for my purposes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast juice was orange juice and there was a choice of white or wholemeal bread. The clientel were multi national, from Korea, Italy and america. The most impressive aspect was how very reasonable the price was. If you are going to Earls Court it is virtually on the door step. The Tube station is a short walk down the road and even closer in the opposite direction is a large Tescos. A short walk away at 222 North end Road is a fabulous Vegetarian restaurant." (3304765432)

It was clean and comfortable, the beds were made and the towels changed. When the kettle was found to be not working they swapped it immediately with good grace

the traffic noise; one of the curtains wouldn't draw which meant that the spotlights that were shinning on the front of the hotel, shone straight through the window.

When we got there we changed rooms because the bathroom of the first room was mouldy and disgusting. The next room they offered us was adequate. Overall we were dissapointed and wont be staying there again." (3304514709)

I liked the fact they change the towels each day. The shower was good and hot. The location was excellent.

Families and businessman beware, there is no lift in this hotel neither any staff help to get your bags etc to the room. I saw a family struggle with their baby, buggy and pram up the stairs. I also striggled with my luggage which I was taking to Olympia the next day. The staff where not helpful at all. "Overall my stay was very good, I can definitely recommend this hotel as an reasonably economic place to stay in Earls court area. The staff were helpful both during my stay and on booking out - I left late on Sunday they arranged for a taxi to collect me from the door. My only error was not requesting a room on the ground floor as the accomodation did not have a lift - but this was not the fault of the hotel as I had not requested in in my booking and they were very accomodating about finding me an alternative better suited to my needs." (2275328)

your staff were very helpful - i had to change my original room as it was at the top of three flights of stairs and I had forgotten to request a ground floor room when booking, they were helpful, considerate and prompt in dealing with my queries relating to the equipment in the room. My only small complaint was that the double bed was squeezed into a very narrow space so I had to crawl in and out of it - but the bed was comfortable and the bedding was fresh and clean, and the staff provided clean towels every day i was there.

perhaps put a double bed in a double room rather than a single as I believe this was.
