  "Good base for out of season stay - added bonus was the on-site restaurant, Le Velo Rouge. Food of very high quality although the menu was less than clear!" (99917422)

  Lovely old house, set in beautiful grounds.

  Room was smaller than we would have liked - could have benefitted from more light.

  "We we very dissapointed with the quality of the room. The bed was vey uncomfortable. The fresh flowers in our room on arrival were dead after a day and stayed in our room. The towels were very small and frayed. There was one bottle of mineral water by our bed on the first night but this was not replaced daily. Although beverages were offered on room service in practice this was not easy to obtain. The room we had was 145 euros a night not including breakfast and the window was over the service area of the hotel. Breakfasts were adequate but cetainly not good valu for money so we ate out during our stay. Although we were told there was a childrens menu it was very limited. The food was ok but nothin very special when considering the price, again after the first night we ate out." (3305207117)

  "I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The accommodation is superb with real charm, character, and comfort. The proprietor takes a very hands on role, and is charming and helpful, as are all the staff. The facilities of the hotel are excellent, and the leisure facilities are not over used - few of the other guests when we were there in late August used the pool, gym, tennis court, or badminton facilities. We did, using the hotel's free tennis and badminton equipment. The setting, with extensive mature gardens, is a delight. The restaurant is absolutely superb, and from our look at others in Le Bugue (within walking distance), it appeared to us to be easily the best in town. We ate there three nights on the run, and were delighted each time. We had a wonderfully relaxing and luxurious break, and felt we got very good value for money. We will be going back." (3305189912)

  "We were given two rooms due to an extension of stay we requested after the initial time period selected. The first room was bright and airy, but the second was nowhere near as nice albeit for a cheaper rate - this room I would not recommend to travellers. The staff are fabulous, extremely courteous and helpful, and really added value to the stay. The hotel itself is just as it looks in the photos on the website with a great pool and lots of outside space. The website provides a really good idea of what you can expect." (3305124867)

  The hotel has the most fantastic feel to it, from the moment you arrive until you leave. The staff are especially helpful and the free use of the internet is a huge bonus. If we visited the area again we would not hesitate to stay there.

  The breakfasts were not good value for money.

  "This hotel is absolutely charming! It is filled with character and is well-placed for the town nearby. The staff were fantastic and really contributed to making this a very special stay for us. We very much enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return!" (3304866787)

  The service at this hotel was superb and we found the receptionist incredibly helpful. The room was lovely and the hotel was within walking distance of restuarants.

  "nous aurions aimé savoir où était placée la chambre." (97857895)

  le cadre de l'hotel était très plaisant.

  nous nous attendions à avoir une chambre dans le manoir et en fait nous étions dans le moulin. le restaurant ne nous a pas satisfait.
