  "This is an excellent hotel, with character rather than a modern box, and the facilities are excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone, and certainly plan to return." (97217208)

  Ideal location, welcoming staff, and comfortable accommodation - would certainly return

  Unfortunately the restaurant was not open, but the one recommended was excellent and we understand owned by the hotel and within easy reach.

  "This is an extremely well-run and delightful small hotel. It looks and feels like a chateau but on a small scale. The Dutch couple who own and run it are exemplary in their attention to detail and to their guests. The food is delicious. The setting, so close to the centre of Monpazier and yet in a quiet side street, makes it ideal for exploring this wonderful small town - the best preserved 'bastide' (medieval fortified town) in France. It is difficult to recommend this hotel highly enough." (99173055)

  Comfortable room. Good sound insulation.

  We were on the top floor and there was a distinct attic feel about the room with eaves and a small window.

  "Excellent food, gorgeous town and very friendly hosts. Definitely stay here again." (99861270)

  Clean, they cooked dinner especially for us and the meal was ORGASMIC, sorry gastronomic! Car park was safe - we could see the car from our room which was good.

  Light in the room was a bit dim.
