  I was checked into a disabled room initially and had to contact reception to be moved into a standard double. Continental breakfast should be replaced with option of cooked breakfast.

  the staff were friendly

  it cost too much money considering the size of the room and the breakfast was poor. we also had to be out the building to early it really wasnt worth the money i also booked a smoking room and when i got there i got told we cant have smoking plus they dropped it on me last minute that i have to have 30 pound on ma visa card for them to hold when i neve rgot told about this before i came

  Minor reduction in cost of room due to inconvenience (see below). Room provided with was adequately equipped and the breakfast was very nice.

  Booked a double room and was provided with a twin. Unable to offer a double when raised with reception

  Hotel interior design. I like the idea of the ironing room - obviously I'd prefer an iron in the room but this was better then waiting for an iron to be free.

  Staff could be friendlier. Staff could also be more knowledgable about the pubs/restaurants along the canal.

  "The staff where polite, but there was a lack of staff and so a lot of waiting around, and getting served. This is the problem of bad management rather then staff performance issues. This created a bad tone which passed among the visitors. Cut backs but then service gets hit and reputation falls which will hit revenue." (97462633)

  "Overall everything good. Only slight problem was we had booked double rooms, but twins were provided. Staff very quickly sorted out different rooms, so all easily resolved. Drinks in bar extortionately expensive." (97112637)

  Cleanliness

  Breakfast was a little disorganised, had to ask the staff lots of times for various items.

  The breakfast was excellent as even though it was a continental breakfast it was unlimited and there was plenty of choice.

  The size of the room was a little on the small side, but just about adequate.

  "This hotel is very easy to find as you simply follow the signs for Leeds Armouries which lead you nicely to the hotel as it is next to the Armouries. There is a public car park next to the hotel which makes parking easy and the hotel give you a card which enables you to get a discount on the price of parking which is handy. We found the staff very friendly. We found the hotel overall including our room very clean, comfortable and modern. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food but the menu looked interesting and we felt the food was reasonably priced. We would definitely stay at this hotel again." (99865041)

  "In the website I booked through the check in time was mentioned as 2 pm and when I reached the hotel at 1.45 pm, I was asked to wait till 3 pm for checking in. So I ended up wasting about 1 hour and fifteen minutes waiting for the check in process. In the morning during the check out time, there was a long queue for check out process with only one counter open. The excuse was only one computer terminal was working! Otherwise i liked the room and the amenities. The menu could have had more choices. The cook could have done better without coming up with excuses like no eggs , in the main dish. But the dish was still tasty without eggs in it." (99570383)

  "Parking arrangements could be explained prior to arrival? Also no warning given about the ongoing building work in the area Directions given are also affected by the building work and can cause confusion overall we had a very pleasent experience and would look to book this type of hotel again" (99346598)

  overall design and appearance of the hotel is good

  only a couple of minor things lack of extra pillows and also not enough complimentary tea & coffee upon arrival

  It was very clean. It was in a good location, 10 mins walk into town. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice and could eat as much as you want.

  Excellent location for the Armouries, canal walking and the city centre. Very clean, modern facilities.

  The bar prices are very high, even for Leeds City Centre.

  "The hotel is in a great spot for shopping and Leeds night life. We were a young couple on a leisure break and the hotel was excellent value. The rooms were just right and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a car park next door and we got a voucher for the parking which was ideal! We would return to this hotel again." (99959156)
