The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was within walking distance of most restaurants and the station. The breakfast was perfect with lots to choose from. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family but would suggest a double room and not a single room." (108007843)
Very clean hotel and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome.
Booked a single room which was quite small for the amount I paid. The room was quite dark and there was no view except for a tall office block. I would not have liked to stay more than one night in the room.

The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"In context of how much I had paid for the room and the fact thwat I was only there for one night it was adequate. " (99167180)
Good location and very good value for money
Room looked tired. Decor and furniture was new but door and other main fixtures looked very tired. Room was dusty.

The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"The different prices for a Friday night and Saturday night - was discracful (i wouldn't of paid £119 for that particular room if i'd of known) and how can you charge those prices for the rooms AND STILL CHARGE STUPID PRICES to park your car!! Car park should be free if you stay for 2 nights or more, maybe thats something to look into! I maybe book again but will look around more before hand." (97464975)
Close to centre of town for shops etc and to train station
Parking and difference in prices for a weekend break

Comfortable bed; very pleasant bathroom; the desk made a very pleasant addition to an otherwise plain bedroom
poor lighting in bedroom; lack of shelving in wardrobe

The staff were very helpful - we were able to gain access to rooms even though we arrived very early. Breakfast was first class and there was a carpark on site." (97683145)
It was easy to find from directions supplied from hotel and had convenient parking. The fascilities were excellent and food good
The lighting was very dim in the rooms.

The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"Good hotel spoilt by excessive wi-fi charges and parking, staff were very good though." (97227946)
Excellent breakfast, nicely refurbished hotel
Wi-Fi at 50p a minute is scandalous, television controls had no batteries. Receptionist didn't mention parking, tried to charge me £10 when they relaised I had parked without a ticket

The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"i would not recommend this hotel as it is far to dear and yes maybe because it is in a city this is why. It was handy for shopping though. Also you have to pay an extra fe to park your car so with us stying 2 nights this cost £20-00 the pics on the site are a bit false as they should show all rooms and not the rooms that aree spacious if I knew the rooms were as small as the one I was in I would never have booked but because they take your card details and they charge you if oyu cancel I had no CHOICE but to stay! I would never recommend this hotel to any of my good friends as @I feel that we were overcharged by far!!!" (97329057)
not a lot
well the rooms are v small and the bathroom could do with some bleaching! also the rooms were4 very hot (even when no bed sheets were on) there were fans though provided now I know why! Also the room was not worth the moneys the hotel was charging at the time of the stay there was a big function on so no restaurant facilities but there is and was loads of nice places to eat. I would not recommend this hotel to someone whom has a picture of what they think the room maybe like!! because the pics on the site are false!!

The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"I enjoyed my stay and was made to feel very welcome by all staff. I was comfortable and everything was very clean and tidy, magazines for me to read and a lovely environement. I would have liked to know in advance which door to come out of the station as I had to go and ask the way. Thank you" (99525793)
I was looked after, all staff went the 'extra mile' to help especially with having such a big 'do' on the Saturday evening which could have meant they ignored me - but the staff treated me with equal respect.

The parking prices are quite steep.

The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"Well updated hotel well located. Staff not quite experienced enough to know what guests expect. Breakfast should have been cooked to order, instead it was self service while staff stood around chatting to each other. Room was rather small and tall as it has been a converson to an ensuite from a bed only room. The wondows at the back where we were need replacing with double glazing as there was considerable street noise apparent." (99260268)

The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"I picked this hotel because it was giving a good summer rate including breakfast and evening meal on the first night. The Dinner proved to be very good, but the room was appalling. Reception staff seemed unperturbed by my reports of two sleepless nights due to the constant noise of an air extractor unit right outside the single-glazed bedroom window!" (99548825)
good value evening meal and table service
Poor first floor room with no air-conditioning and no secondary glazing with a massive air extractor unit just outside the bedroom window constantly humming all night.

Excellent size of room - spacious suite, quiet and comfortable. Staff were froendly and helpful.
Did not like the fact I couldn't use my business debit card as I have no PIN. I should have been able to sign to authrise the card - no other hotel has been so inflexible and it caused a great deal of incovenience.

Breakfast was overpriced, we went to a nearby Wetherspoons and had a lovely breakfast for a fraction of the price.

My room was very small (416) compared to my friends' rooms on the same rate. The noise from the ventilating system below the window made sleep patchy.

the only quibble is that the street noise can be intrusive. Perhaps improve the soundproofing.

The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"The staff at this hotel were the best we have ever encountered. They were friendly and went the extra mile to help in any and every way. The first room we were offered was modern and spacious with a wonderful bathroom but, as we stayed during the heatwave and this room faced the lightwell it was unbearably hot. The staff were wonderful and were prepared to show us lots of other rooms but the next room was much cooler (although a lot smaller) and we happily accepted that. As this is an old listed building it cannot have air-conditioning installed and that is its only downside. The prices in the hotel for drinks were reasonable except they only stocked small bottles (120ml) of lemonade and this made the price of 2 pints of larger shandy " (3304843890)
Lovely building with excellent decor
The short security lead on the iron made it difficult to fill with water and made it dangerous to use

The staff at the reception desk had a poor knowledge of leeds when asked for help on finding what i would have thought been easy requests (e.g. how do you get to headingly cricket ground. The bar was very noisy and not at all a place to relax at the end of the day." (3304698701)

The service is generally good and staff very pleasant. The only real downside is that car parking is a little cramped. It would have been helpful to know that in advance and we would have arrived in a smaller car." (3304773996)

The Met Leeds, Leeds - Reviews & Ratings"We booked the room as we had seen your website and liked the look of the rooms, we had to wait for a room after the stated check-in time. The room we got had very tired decor, very stuffy, stank of cigarettes and was nothing like the lovely rooms we had seen on the website. After reading that you had spend 4.2m doing up the Met it was quite obvious that none of these 4.2m was spend on our room. Also the grouting in the bathroom was dirty, and the bath had ground on dirt on it. And after haivng a shower, the sealant has not been properly maintained and therefore leaked, which we did report at front desk. Downstairs at the reception area is lovely and I am sure you have some lovely rooms, yet on the 5th floor it very much felt like it has been left out of the refurb" (3304586986)

Clearly recently refurbished to a very high standard and contempory theme. Well maintained clean and high spec furnishings throughout the Hotel. Also has secure parking and a fantastic location... Top marks!
Only thing was that the staff were late with checking in guests, as the hotel was full, no rooms were ready until late afternoon.

Decor and facilities are very good. Staff helpful and polite.
The room was too stuffy and hot despite turning off the radiator and opening the window. Breakfast is far too expensive and appears rather too obviously to be the way that the hotel makes its profit. Although the food was reasonable it is not worth the charge made for it.

"nice hotel in a good location, near the train station. the hotel was clean and the staff polite" (107253909)
bed was far too small, it was either a 3/4 or a double. usually when we stay at other hotels yes you ask for a double room but the bed is usually bigger.
