The lady who took my call was very attentive and understand of my problem trying to book the hotel direct.
The receptionist knowing I was disabled with a motability problem put us on the first floor aout as far away from the list as possible. The lady who booked me in was assured that I would be put on the ground floor with as little walking as possible. I am 61 and also have to use a CPAP machine for 10 hrs. minimum as night.

We had a bar meal that 1st night which was very pleasant. Staff in bar area were extremely friendly, especially the guy who came to your table to take the order, well done!" (108041606)
Lovely, friendly receptionist, excellent bar snack - pizza fab as was the salmon and cream cheese sandwich, super service in there, they come to your table so no hassle with queueing at the bar.

Well appointed room with everything on hand for a comfortable stay.
Restaurant food a little expensive so we chose to eat elsewhere, but in fairness it may have been excellent quality food.

However, I am led to believe that this Hotel has some lower budget rooms that are less well appointed, but fortunately I was not allocated one of these. If I had been given a lower budget room, I would perhaps not have been quite so impressed. Well appointed room with high standard of decor.
The rough surface of the Hotel entrance from the Car Park does not assist baggage with small wheels.

The check in and out were quite robotic and as for breakfast in the dining room in the morning. We were treated as if we were a hindrance, we were not asked if we would like tea, coffee, or toast although other diners coming in after us were. When we finished our main course, the waitress was more concerned about making up tables than taking our plates away. The tables were small and the plates were left with us until we finished the whole breakfast. There were not many diners in the restaurant so it was not a case of being too busy." (97459981)

The hotel is comfortable, clean and well equipped with gym and swimming pool, we didn't have an opportunity to use either as we were only staying for one night, we did have a few drinks in the bar and the staff were friendly and they also serve food there until quite late in the evening. Sheets on the bed were clean but worn with old stains. One of the dinner plates offered in the restaurant was greasy and unclean. O.K location for this particular purpose.
Room was shabby. Lightbulbs missing. Shower brackets loose. Hotel fax not working properly. Staff neglegting to recheck missing faxes.

Great pool. Good value for money, the room was clean and the breakfast was good.
The reception was very dimly lit and felt a bit like a ghost town. Smokers at the main entrance were very off putting especially when having to carry our one year old past them.

Room was spacious, however it was also cold due to an inadequate heating system supplying hot air from a vent mounted in the ceiling(come on you don't need to be a rocket scientist).

Room was lovely, staff were friendly, breakfast was tasty, pool/sauna were fantastic.
There was a function on and people congregating at the front door smoking meant you had to walk through a cloud of smoke to enter and leave the hotel

Only one Bathtowel. Chambermaid staff gave us another one but it was creased and smeared with make-up. Only one saucer in tea/coffee tray. At dinner the foursome at the next table only received two meals. Morning papers ordered but didn't arrive. Ordered a hard egg at breakfast. Told it would be no trouble - but still waiting, despite reminders! Sympathetic Manager currently dealing with these problems." (97059678)

The room was excellent two queen size beds with plenty of room.Huge car park so no problem parking and only 10 mins from city centre.
Accommodation was great. However, as this was potentially a room for 4 people when I checked out I was charged for 4 breakfasts!!!!! I had to draw this to the attention of the receptionist. If I had not checked my bill I could have paid this extra amount which is worrying.

Return visit to Hotel as Rooms clean and well equipped. Leisure facilities good. Bar prices are quite high!!
Very Very slow service for bar meal. Had to return meal as was still frozen!! Staff very apologetic and meal was good when eventually ready. Bar prices were quite high!
