  Centre of town location

  "It's a decent hotel (non-smoking) with pleasant staff and a clean rooms it could do with a fresh lick of paint etc... but its not bad for 110 Euros per night just for the convenient location it is what it is. Being a last minute decision to go to Biarritz we didn't have much choice of available hotels in the centre of Biarritz. I've stayed in Biarritz before and the hotel accommodation has been poor the reviews of Citotel Marbella on Active Holidays website didn't give me any reason to think my stay in this hotel would be any different. But I was pleasantly surprised with our room on the fourth floor good shower, mini bar etc.. large balcony with a good view of the ocean was an added bonus. Our balcony overlooked one of the better less touristry streets in Biarritz with some very cool bars and restaurants. I drive a very expensive convertible so I had concern's about the lack of secure parking. We were only staying two nights and then on to La Rochelle at best I was expecting a few door dents at worst I wouldn't have a car to continue on to our next destination. Needless to say the car was fine there's public parking available at the end of the road overlooking the Ocean you can buy a 10 euro ticket for 7 days (press the yellow button) I gave my ticket with 4 days free parking to a local when we left he didn't even thank me!"   Clean bed, good shower, great location, didn't hear other guests I prefer a more expensive type of hotel but it wasn't a bad experience.

  I suspect the toilet could have been properly cleaned (nothing serious just a slight smell)

  The air conditioning did not work adequately and was extremely noisy. The shower was tiny and was difficult to keep the floor dry as there was very little room to move while washing. The only english speaking channel could not be viewed because of poor reception.

  "Apart from the noise, my other complaint would be that the hotel had no night-time porter at reception. I found this to be totally unprofessional, and it caused us problems when I fell ill in the middle of the night on the last night of our stay. We needed a doctor, but had very little French and were hoping there would be someone on the desk to help us out. We had to seek emergency numbers ourselves - a difficult task, because neither of us have very good French." (3304673711)

  The location was perfect, very close to beach, restaurants, bars, etc.

  Our room was quite noisy. There seemed to be some building work going on upstairs, right above our room and it really disturbed our sleep. We brought it to the attention of staff, but nothing was done.

  "Booked last minute so had no great expectations, but was overall very pleased with the room particularly with the balcony over the main street with a view to the harbour & beach. Was woken early by a noisy road sweeping vehicle however! Considering the booking was very late, I was was very impressed with the overall value for money and would return." (2679598)

  "hotel located in a very convenient locations to shops, retaurants although not to the biggest beach where my 15 yr old wanted to be. Myson was staying in Biarritz for one month with a family. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with telephone calls." (2521113)

  "Most enjoyable weekend, the location of the Hotel allowed access to the most interesting parts of Biarritz without the expense of the larger Hotels. The parking was difficult, but this was mentioned in the on-line directions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay." (1529071)

  "My friend and I were only staying one night as we were moving around the south of France - The hotel was clean, in a good location, the staff were very helful and took the time to help us on our way, giving advice and directions. - In English. Onlt 'thing' The shower - although a good temperature was a bit lacking in force and the shower curtain attached itself to yor legs like a creature from a horror movie. That aside - no compliants about the en-suite twin room we had." (1418716)

  Excellent location in the Old Port, Biarittz. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

  Excellent location, near the beach and restaurants. Staff were very friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable.

  Only bad point was the breakfast. Prices shown were incorrect, not informed of this until checkout. Also described as buffet breakfast, but choice and amount of food was very limited.
