Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"Overall enjoyed the stay, room good, " (107937112)
receptions staff very efficient and friendly Room was very good - nice to have a twin room with two double beds - nice view of the marina
Rate was somewhat expensive Breakfast - we had to wait 15 mins for a table - did not appear to be enough staff or enough tables for the size of the hotel. Some food was cold - bacon and had to keep asking for additional items - eggs, serviettes for hot plates, cups for the coffee, butter etc.

Staff were very helpful, efficient and courteous. Hotel is in a very good location.
My only criticism is that the cooked breakfast could have been hotter.

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"A hotel in a good location with good facilities. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was reasonable and the staff were helpful." (97994520)
The room was a good size and light and the bed was also a good size. It was very clean and well maintained.
We needed an extra pillow - 3 between 2 people is slightly odd. I would have liked to open the window properly - health and safety gone OTT.

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"Location is excellent for central Lincoln and the Brayford area. Need good shoes to make it all the way up the steep hill! Parking very well priced and easy access - beware the one way system in the car park is the wrong way round. All usual large hotel facilities available." (97605092)
Convenient location amongst bars and restaurants, but not disturbed by the noise
We had an Executive room, but the sound proofing was not as good as I would have hoped as we were distrubed by everyone coming in later than us.

I liked everything at the hotel. The friendliness of the staffwas just brilliant. The bar staff on Friday night was second to none.
I did find when there was a crowd booking in on Saturday, i wanted to ask a question but could'nt interupt the girl on the desk and there was no-one else around

The accomodation was fine - spacious and pleasant and near to the facilities.
The hot breakfast was very poor - the food had been setting around for far too long. If there are relatively few guests - eggs in particular could be cooked on demand.

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"The Holiday Inn Lincoln's Website is inaccurate and even possibly dishonest, I booked this Hotel because the website stated that the Hotel had smoking rooms but in fact is totally Non-Smoking however the No Smoking rule only applies to guests and not to staff if the smoking smells in the lower corridors is anything to go by. The Hotel lobby is very small with no seating. I feel that this Hotel is over priced for what it provides. I will not consider using this particular Hotel again." (97599235)
Good location, spacious room
Heating unit very noisy and pulled in cooking cooking and smoking smells from outside. One of the 2 chairs in the room was stained and wet

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"On arrival there was no record of my booking and the receptionist had to go out the back for a few mintues to check the emails and confirm my resevation. The concrete stairs were only carpeted to the first floor. Very expensive for what was." (97510409)
Central location, quiet.
Having to pay extra for parking, shower gel ran out half way through my shower, breakfast was a bit disorganised. No seperate shower and mold around the plug hole in the bath.

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"The desk staff were so busy at check in that I was not asked which (complimentary) newspaper we wanted and we never did get a newspaper. Decor old fashioned (very American) and breakfast poor. It was adequate but I would expect better for the price. After all we were in Lincoln not London!" (97345880)
Comfortable bed, decent bathroom, nice view
Hotel decor is stuck in the 1970's. Bar area with TV screen and games machines very downmarket. Breakfast was poor (just like America) and organised for the convenience of staff. Not enough fresh fruit, muesli had sugar added. Why?

Excellent location and very friendly and helpful reception staff/duty management. Breakfast was excellent with stunning views across the Wharf to the University.
NOT the fault of the hotel but the road signs in the city centre of Lincoln leave you at a T junction with a pedestrianised area, marked No Access for Vehicles - Access Only. You actually have to drive through the area to gain access to the hotel car park.

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"This is an excellent hotel, as is to be expected of a 'Marriot' Disabled parking was available near the front door and plenty of ramps to aid the wheelchair bound. I found the restaurant food excellent but rather over-priced. The cost of snacks and room service was also high. I would have thought that with so many eateries in the area the hotel could be more competative. I will eat out in future!" (99168831)
Excellent and DISABLED FRIENDLY. I was on the ground floor but there were plenty of lifts if needed.

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"The sat nav took us to the wrong end of the road and then we had to hit a dead end and ask people for how to get around to the car park. It may be good to have directions for parking or state that sat navs take you to wrong end of one way street. We had an excellent stay and intend to return again Thanks" (97138963)

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel employed staff of a very high calibre. They were willing to help if required. Very positive and confident in tasks they were undertaking. Location was perfect. Rooms very clean. Will definitely book this hotel again if visiting the area." (97807604)
On entering the room it was noticeable that time had been taken to make sure that the room was very clean and tidy. There was nothing missing from the room that I would have wanted. It felt very homely instead of a box with a bed. The bed was of a high standard which allowed a good nights sleep. One of the few hotels I have stayed in that had a decent shower with a decent water pressure.

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"The overall stay at the Holiday Inn Lincoln, was one of a very pleasant nature. The staff were very friendly and helpfull at all times, none of the large hotel chain surly type here. The hotel is in a great location for visiting lincoln, very close to the restaurants and bars on the marina, and a two minute - 500 yards walk into the town centre where a abundance of all manor of shops and bars can be found, and still only a leisurely 15 minute walk into the magnificent cathedral quater. Although situated in a lovely part of town along side the marina, its a rather expensive hotel at " (99956269)

Comfortable bed.
Window hinged with chain so would open only so far which was fair enough but it would not stay open so it had to be closed. There was no toilet brush in the bathroom and only one bath mat (we were two people).

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"There is very little I can add regarding the Hotel above what comments are on the Internet. I can confirm just how nice the Hotel is though, but during the week most guests I would say are on business, this maybe why the Hotel is expensive for nightly rates, I have stayed in better Hotels with much better rates than here. The Hotel is located in a very pleasant location, and is clearly marked by road signs through the City centre, without which I doubt you would locate the Hotel." (3305067520)

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"I have to say that the young lady that greated me on reception when i was booking in and when i checked out was very polite/ helpful and professional, she is an asset to the company. I believe that the overall experience of a guest stay starts with the first impression when walking into the hotel and being greeted by staff. Have good/polite/helpful and professional staff and as a hotel you will have very happy guests/customers. Thankyou for such a lovely enjoyable stay. Jason Brotherton" (3305149159)

Holiday Inn Lincoln, Lincoln - Reviews & Ratings"We had an excellent stay overall at this hotel. We paid the extra for a superior room with guaranteed marina review and we weren't disappointed. Would definitely book this hotel again. If I was going to be picky it would be that a mini fridge be provided in the room. Or at least have an ice machine on every floor. During our 2 night stay the one and only ice machine wasn't working and we were lucky enough to stay on the hottest July weekend ever recorded." (3304906688)
The size of the room and facilities. The location of the hotel.
No mini fridge in the room and the only ice machine wasn't working. It was a particularly hot weekend.

"Generally enjoyable" (107707442)
Comfortable room, excellent breakfasts and dinners, pleasant staff. Good standard overall for 3* hotel
Although we knew it was part of the tariff, the extra charge for car parking would be more appropriate in a larger town or city. Clear directions to the hotel when booking would have saved us hassle when we arrived in the city.
