Royal Adelaide Hotel, Windsor - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was exactly where I expected it to be- a convenient position near central Windsor. Whilst the car park was small, at no time was there a problem getting a space. Everything worked as expected in the hotel, and the receptionist was unusually helpful and friendly without being at all pushy or salesy. Well done, thank you." (97694980)
it was fair value and every hting worked satisfactoraly.
The room was too hot and therostat did not respond to turning down

Royal Adelaide Hotel, Windsor - Reviews & Ratings"A very enjoyable weekend, the hotel was very lovely and all the staff helpful, friendly and informative. The room was nicley decorated with a modern contemporary feel and this was continued throughout the hotel. We didn't eat in the restaurant, however the breakfast was wonderfully presented with something for everyone and very tasty too. A very convenient location to the town centre and Windsor Castle. Would highly recommend the hotel and would stay again." (97862503)

The hotel was very well presented and the staff were very friendly. Good location and parking.
The rooms appear to have been recently decorated but the bath should be way the other round, so that it is easier to get out of the bath. As it currently laid out the shower glass is at one end and the toilet at the other. If the bath was round the other way this wouldn't have been a problem. The was noise of water running in the night. The food was expensive.

It was in a perfect location for all the attraction, the hotel was immaculate the staff very friendly and helpful could not reall fault this hotel and if visiting Windsor agin I would definitley return to this hotel." The first thing that stood out about the hotel was hte frienliness and welcoming manner of the staff. The accomodation was immaculate the room was very comfortable and modern, the rest of the hotel was lovely too. We had breakfast in our room the following morning and it was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. I only came into comtact with 3 memebers of staff but they were so helpful and lovely they made the stay more enjoyable.
The only onething I could say is that the room was slightly on the small side however it would not affect me returning to the hotel. I would reccommend the this hotel to anyone visiting Windsor.

It was a very comfortable romm. Friendly and helpful staff. A most enjoyable breakfast.
The bathroom and bedroom was just a little too small.

Location was very good
Directly under the flight path to Heathrow, very noisy. No Lifts in the hotel and far too many stairs to climb with baggage - nobody to carry bags to/from room.

The recent refurbishment has only improved the look of the hotel - the customer service remains excellent! It's in a great location too, minutes walk from the town centre and has adequate parking." The customer service is second to none, the French manager/receptionist always makes me feel at home. I enjoy staying in this hotel whenever I'm in Windsor.
The only downside about the accommodation was the noise, it was noisy in the evening and morning but it would not put me off staying again.

However we enjoyed our stay. The location is very central for Windsor. The breakfast was excellent, can reccomend the Eggs Benedict." (99644078)
Room was clean and decorated in a very tasteful fashion.
The room however was too small, ideal for one person. The bed was only a 4' 6 which is not the best for a mature couple.

The room was clean, tidy and decorated very trendily. Breakfast was tops.
The room was slightly too small for a couple - and we didnt realise until the morning that there was only one cup in the room and there were two of us staying. We didnt mention it as we were going to breakfast anyway.

Royal Adelaide Hotel, Windsor - Reviews & Ratings"My main disappointment was the lack of a welcoming and warm atmosphere in the restaurant. We sat at the table but no-one came to serve us. I asked at the bar and from then on we had service from pleasant staff. However the room was decidedly cold and as we were the only guests eating, a real lack of atmosphere. It would have been nice if there had been some music playig and a warm room is essential to relax and enjoy a meal. When the food arrived, I have to say it was excellent, good quality cuisine." Otherwise, the receptionist was very helpful and attended to all our needs promptly, i.e delivering an ashtray to our room e.t.c. This said, I booked a double room and had to question as to if it was actualy a single room. It was the smallest bouble room I have ever had. Also the car park at the hotel was full which meant we had to find and use a public car park, extra expence and the closest one we found was almost 1/2 a mile away." (99344748)

Royal Adelaide Hotel, Windsor - Reviews & Ratings"would like to have seen a few more photos and a description of room size - beautifully furnished but surprisingly small. Overall very comfotable and quiet with a good quality bed. The only real disappointment was the shower - but I have a strong dislike of overbath showers. The toileteries provided were a real treat and of a quality I would usually expect in a 5* hotel, and having Earl Grey tea in the morning was wonderful- especially as I forgot to bring my own as I usually have to! Service was polite, unobtrusive but friendly and very late check in caused no problems at all. I would certainly use this hotel again, close to town but away from the hubbub and seconds from the tranquility of the Long Walk - a lovely romantic break, well suited for couples wanting to take time out ,tho' also used by businessmen." Modern decor, but not of the sterile kind. Lovely deep bath. Service from check in to check out excellent.
Noise from aircraft early evening but that stopped before sleep time so was not really an issue and this was not the Hotels fault and they had cdone their best by installing double glazing and thck drapes.

Nice decor and evening meal was good.Excellent walking distance to Windsor centre.
A power cut first thing Sunday morning that also seemed to stop the water pump working meant no tea to wake up to and newspaper not delivered to room. Although this was remedied after an hour. Breakfast room service card was not removed from door and we had to call down to reception to get this service which was one of the luxuries we were looking forward to on our break away without our little boy. The pelmet above the bed was full of dust and the toiletries in the bathroom were not all new. i.e. the shampoo half full and the cotton pads were opened with only one ear bud in?!

Decor is ok
Extremely thin walls, I could hear everything going on in the other rooms, tv, talking etc. Also the room was so small I could hardly even put up the ironing board!! which for over one hundred pounds a night was a bit much!!

The staff seemed courteous and polite. The hotel was nice and quiet.
The tray with kettle and coffee etc on was dusty, and had a couple of dark hairs on. The sugar sachets were old and hard. There seemed to be a random selection of sugar, tea etc, as if it was any old leftover packets, all different brands. TV Remote buttons were filthy, i had to wash my hands after using it. Room was boiling hot but no fan. Bedside light didn't work, and they didn't mend it till the second night. Request for room service breakfast on first morning wasn't picked up and I had to call reception to ask again. Bathroom was really tiny, and shower door was a nightmare to open and close and didn't close properly. My room overlooked a flat roof or kitchen or something, hideous, not even a tree in sight, never mind Windsor Castle! It seemed generally grubby.

The decoration of the hotel and rooms were excellent. Bathroom and bath lovely, hot water, clean towels and bath accessories great.
The rooms were so small that the double bed was boxed in on one side, therefore you had to climb over your partner to exit bed. I actually referred it to my first stay in a match box!! You could not open the windows to let in air - only the bathroom window opened 2 inches. The breakfast was good but the service slow, someone on another table actually left after ordering and waiting for over 15 mins he did not even get his coffee! In room tea & coffee tray was hidden as room was so small you only noticed the tray when you laid down in bed! When you have your two cases in the same room, i am sorry to say you can't move or sit anywhere besides the corner of bed.

We stayed in Adelaide House, to the rear of the main hotel. The house had recently been refurbished to an extremely high standard. The room was clean and the bathroom exquisite.

It was clean and comfortable.
The double bed was situated against a wall allowing access from either one side or the foot of the bed only. The toilet was positioned too close to the wall, which would cause difficulty for a larger framed person.
