the best part was the attitude and very helpful staff! also good gym facilities!
the qaulity of the food to the prices! could update the decor!

Windlestrae Hotel & Leisure Club, Kinross - Reviews & Ratings"Ok but a bit pricey only 3* because of pool. facilities and food excellent just let down by dated decor and cleanliness" (97727858)
Excellent staff food standard very high, pool and gym facilities excellent nad not overcrowded
main hotel decor is very tired and showing age. The room was dated and needed repainted. very poor standard of decor and mould around bath was not nice. Very noisy customers in restaurant for evening meal not checked by staff made for very uncomfortable evening.

Windlestrae Hotel & Leisure Club, Kinross - Reviews & Ratings"When booking on the internet, we were asked to indicate at what time we would be arriving. Our response was In the afternoon and this is what happened. On our arrival at about 3 o'clock, we were told that our room had not been made up but would be ready shortly. In fact, we waited for the best part of an hour and after having just driven almost 200 miles our patience was, to say the least, sorely tried. We were not offered a reason for the delay but surely it does not take as long as it did to make up a hotel room. My wife is more tolerant than I am - had I been on my own I would have cancelled the booking and taken my chances elsewhere." (3305123181)
It was adequate.
Nothing in particular.

Windlestrae Hotel & Leisure Club, Kinross - Reviews & Ratings"Staff are generally friendly but the bedrooms rather than the public areas need a lot of work. Restaurant and bar menus need to be improved otherwise the hotel will continue to lose business to the town. Grounds are good." (3305043793)
Location is good for our needs.
Hard beds not acceptable. Poor room cleaning. En-suite facilities need upgrading as everything works but only just and looks poor quality.

Windlestrae Hotel & Leisure Club, Kinross - Reviews & Ratings"The trying, and helpful staff did try to make up for the mentioned shortfalls in the standard and quality of the room(207), but overall the value was just not there. Even when we got home and examined our settlement bill, we discovered that we had been charged for a three course meal, when we only had had a two course meal!! Have YOU any comments??" (3304504694)
Not a lot
The drainage in the en suite did not work as the waste stayed in the wash hand basin. The heating was non existant as the on/off controls did not work. When we compained about the malfunctions, we were transferred into the room next door(209) which had a very strong stale tobacco smell, and it was a room for the disabled,so the facilities were all very low down.

Windlestrae Hotel & Leisure Club, Kinross - Reviews & Ratings"This hotel provided a lovely leisure break away from the busy city. There was very little to do in the surrounding area and very few restaurants or shops to buy food however the hotel bar had grat food at reasonable prices. The leisure facitlites were superb with a lovely big pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. The gym was well equipped and very quiet during our stay. The room was reasonable however there was no satelite tv or complementary tea's and coffee's which i would have expected. No breakfast built into the room price, with the lack of places to get breakfast surrounding the hotel this was a bad point, the breakfast was approx " (3304451821)
The leisure facilities were fantastic.
Creating a more friendly environment within the reception area.

Convenient. Price. Gym. Proximity to Perth and motorway.
Interior outdated. Bar area poor. Background noise from boiler when in room.

If you looked really closely you noticed that it needed a really deep cleaning i.e. skirtings, corners etc. but on the whole it was great value and an enjoyable visit which i hope to repeat." Plenty of parking, although only two disabled slots, and no ramps etc to get into the hotel. Lovely gardens." (2144408)
Roomy, clean well equipped.
1). More sky TC channels 2). Disabled access - fewer steps. more ramps, shower facilities in room suitable to disabled.

Windlestrae Hotel & Leisure Club, Kinross - Reviews & Ratings"Nice size hotel with good leisure facilities and very friendly and helpful staff but needs bringing up to date and definitely new beds!" (1914863)
The staff were nice and the swimming pool was great.
The bed had to rate as the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept in. If there's one thing you would expect hotels to get right it's the mattresss. It must have been at least 20 years old. Very little sleep which isn't good when you have meetings to go to the next day! The hotel will have been a very nice place in the 1970's but desperately needs modernising.
