Andover House, Great Yarmouth - Reviews & Ratings"overall very good, would recommend and will stay again " (107952957)
hotel very nice and clean, prices of drinks were good, food excellent.
only one small complaint, in the single room, had to ask where the socket was so i could plug in the kettle, it was on the floor, with a cover over it, so had to boil kettle on the floor, should have had a socket on the side of the table.

Impressive restaurant, breakfast and bar area
The hotel is trying to offer a contemporary boutique feel, which it achieves in the bar and restaurant area, but was slightly lacking the same detail touches in my actual bedroom

Andover House, Great Yarmouth - Reviews & Ratings"the hotel was very clean and decor excellent, not a lot of choice in food other than an a la carte menu which was lovely, but an option for snacks would of been nice." (107691103)
hotel was realy clean and decor excellent, staff friendly, rooms were clean and again decor was good.
the hotel felt a bit cold, in the wine bar next to the windows it was very cold, the rooms were a bit cold too, 4 of our party asked to be moved as the rooms were too cold, this was accomadated very quickly, the radiators were small so maybe not adequate for the rooms, the continental breakfast was very sparse, there was cheese and pancheta but no rolls or french toast with this, for how much the rooms cost i think that an english breakfast should be included in the price, there was also no snack list at the bar as we arrived at lunch time and would of liked a snack, before going out for our meal at night.

rooms were on the cold side, the radiators were quite small, 4 of our friends asked to be moved to another room as they were too cold, the price of the room should realy incorparate an english breakfast, not continental there wasnt a lot of choice with this either, food was very good at dinner, but no snack list for during the day to choose from.

cleanliness, decor, comfort, position, nice touches on romantic weekend break -eg. champagne, roses
4 poster room too sparse-curtains needed round bed. Bathroom too small, not enough shelf space. Lots of small finer points need ironing out. Bar closes very early for residents. No evidence of night porter but **** star ?

Very warm, friendly welcoming atmostphere, would like to do it again soon. Location great, fantastic food and ample parking.
Coffee lounge would have been good, but not essential.

Andover House, Great Yarmouth - Reviews & Ratings"The hotels comtemporary refurbishment is to a good standard and made for a comfortable, albeit very short stay. Recommended to me by my clients who are based in Great Yarmouth as one of the nicest hotels in the area - I'm glad I took their advice. Very good for business users and couples - bar area looked nice, shame I didn't have time to use it." (107185934)
As a late arrival, the route from front door to bedroom took no more than a couple of minutes and I was grateful of being able to get my head down after a long journey. Bed was extremely comfortable.
Toilet seat was faulty / loose

Andover House, Great Yarmouth - Reviews & Ratings"A very high quality hotel offering very calm surroundings" (107200619)
An excellent upgrade of a period property, staff always available to help. Although we only ate from the bar and room service menu, the quality of food was of the highest order.
We stayeed in one of the suites and whilst the room was of good size and furnished to a very high standard, unfortunately the shower room was very small considering the other facilities offered

Booked a single but got upgraded to a 'small double room', room and en-suite smart if a little small, plenty of on-road parking outside the hotel, staff good & helpful.
Didn't fancy any food from the restaurant menu opting for the bar menu instead, however if ordering off the bar menu you had to eat in your room; not ideal.
