Wonderful value for money and the room and service was fantastic. The breakfast menu was great and had a great variety of choice to choose from.
Found some of the other guests quite noisy when returning home he early hours not much consideration shown for other guests.

Friendly staff, lovely building set conveinently next to the train station.
Unfortunatly the first room we stayed in had a broken shower and extractor fan. We also couldn't get the television working. We were however moved to a different room for the second night without fuss which was superb.

The bar was very clean.
The room we stayed in did not smell very attractive, the carpet was absolutely filthy. The breakfast provided was cooked and then seemed to be left on a hot plate to keep it warm so hence it was very dry. Once the jugs of orange juice and milk has run out these were not replenished until we asked.

Breakfast sausage was poor standard cheap one. Toast was too thin. Coffee was incredibly weak - this needs checking to be sorted out or you will loose customers

Good parking for cars also staff very helpful
A great deal of noise from young girls and boys when pub closed until about 12.30pm.woken up & could not sleep until quite again. As we had to be at shoreham by 8.30am could not have breakfast which had been paid for.Also no soap in bathroom.

Really cheap, great breakfast offer, very convenient to railway station, good quality bed and clean sheets.
The toilet did not flush properly, and the shower could have been cleaner. There were belongings left in the room from other occupants which suggested perhaps the cleaning between visitors was not as thorough as it should have been. We couldn't find the remote for the TV. There was quite a lot of noise from the adjacent nightclub - but this was advertised so prospective patrons are made aware, which is very honest.

check in was good, and made very easy,
the room itself was nice and tidy but could do with some maintenance, the windows were broken and had been for some time, the shower curtain was ripped, the breakfast was pretty much a no go, there seemed enough staff, but due to the time and the wait, we had to leave without breakfast

Room clean
Have to check in via the bar and also contact staff when needed via the bar. Wi-Fi not working. Breakfast not untill 8am which s too late. No chef available for evening meal. Laundry bags and furtniture along stairway.

Grand Victorian Hotel, Worthing - Reviews & Ratings"The cost of the hotel was inexpensive and I wasn't expecting too much. I was still disappointed however that some of the basics were not as they should be. There was never anybody at the reception desk and I had to go into the bar to find a member of staff. General state of room was OK and bed was reasonably comfortable. Bar and hotel staff were generally courteous and food ordered came quickly. Breakfast was fine and served promptly.
Wallpaper hanging off wall below window with black mould. No TV remote in room - had to find a member of staff who tried a number of other rooms before locating one. Water was only luke warm for morning shower. No wireless internet - was told I should have brought my own cable to connect. Food wasn't very good but it was cheap.

Good price, great location
No information regarding breakfast. Sign stated the restaurant served breakfast from 7:30 - 10:30 and yet at 9:11 am after we had left and had breakfast at another location, we still found the restaurant closed with locked doors. Check in was in the bar, but there was no information available directing us to check in there. No information available in the room.

the price was ok
we were accused by the management for noise but it was the hotels own staff which created the noise, when retuning to the hotel. and we also found used contraception protection underneath the bed.

Room was comfortable and clean.
The check-in was a bit slap dash. We had to go into the bar to register and were given the key but not told where the room was. Never saw anyone at the hotel reception the whole time we were there.

Your computer system failed to book me in although I had printed confirmation. I was extremely lucky to find an alternative on a bank holiday weekend. I will not be risking any travel arrangements in the future with such an unreliable system.

I only needed the hotel as somewhere to sleep so it was ideal for me. the area didnt feel particularly safe at night with gangs of people and clubbbers so it wouldnt suit someone looking for a relaxing break. the room itself was clean and recently decorated. the room was comfortable and the hotel was ideally located opposite the train station
dated ensuite shower room and with no airconditioning, the room did get rather warm. Although plenty of parking near by there were a lot of youths hanging around drunk and running around the carpark late at night. The reception for the hotel was locked so we had to go into the bar to book in, with suitcases and a full pub it wasnt ideal. the hotel was also attached to a night club which played loud music at night.

Close proximity to station and business location. Ideal if not travelling by car as no parking facilities. Comfortably equipped in rooms but no telephones & no mobile signal in the rooms at the back of the hotel. Bar meals are of excellent quality and value for money.
Some female travellers may find it intimidating to have to walk into a public bar in order to check into the hotel. Breakfast has to be ordered and paid for in advance the night before required, so unable to decide on the morning what you want. Monday nights not recommended as Kareoke held in the bar and the night club is open 'til 2.00am

We'd stay here again but that was largely due to the friendly and helpful staff and the fact that they took responsibility for things which should have been sorted out by the manager!" (107940801)
room: very quiet, clean, well equipped. staff: charming and very friendly
Manager seemed to be on another planet.. couldn't be bothered to come down as we booked in. Double booking (but a member of staff went to a lot of trouble to get us in...)

Bed comfortable, general decor quirky and unusual, close to relatives and facilities, bar friendly and comfortable. Staff friendly but thin on the ground.
Bathroom not very clean; pubic hairs in bath. Dust and dirt behind dressing table, carpet very stained and filthy, downstairs bar still smells strongly of cigarette smoke and stale carpets, no cooked breakfast available.

The location - ideal with it being opposite the railway station. Close enough to hospital - where I worked. Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff
the noise - I did not realise it was above a pub,karaoke and nightclub. This was my error as it is stated on internet. If I had been working the next morning (rather than the afternoon) I would have had to move.
