Owner made sure to read the special request made at booking time of a quiet room and placed me at the rear - in the pleasant garden rather than facing main rd. Staff were very pleasant, friendly and attentive. Hotel and room and bathroom was very clean and odourless! Had an electric power shower. Everything worked well. Breakfast selection was comprehensive and well cooked - not greasy. Made the stay very pleasant experience." (99950365)
Perfect location for my needs on this trip. Hotel is very clean and tidy with very good presentation. Nice breakfast. Friendly accomadating owners.
The decor is a bit dated but thats all.

The room was very attractive and comfortable.
Slightly small room but it was only a single and the overall feel was pleasantly cosy rather than small. The ensuite was nicely and newly decorated. The showerhead dripped slightly and I placed in on the showerfloor overnight to prevent a slight dripping sound. Not a problem.

St Andrews Lodge Hotel - Guest House, Selsey, Chichester - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is easy to find, and has free parking. We arrived mid-evening for a one-night stay, 3 adults in single rooms. One was one crutches, with a leg in plaster. As requested, he had been assigned a ground floor room with easy access. I had a conference call, and we were not able to eat until after 10:00 pm. The hotel does not have a restaurant (apart from breakfast), but if guests bring in take-away food, they can set up a table in the bar and eat there. This is a nice facility, which other hotels without restaurants could copy. We bought a bottle of wine from the bar and were invited to help ourselves to another if we wanted, and settle up later. We were left to our meal. Mr. Humphrey (the owner) came in about 11:30 to see how we were getting on. When we said we were finished, he asked if he could come back in 15 minutes or so to lock up. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, including fridge, iron, ironing board and kettle with tea and coffee. Full English breakfast was excellent, especially the bacon. All three of us liked the hotel, would stay there again and would recommend it to friends. The hotel is 7 miles from Chichester, but the road is narrow and winding and the drive took about 20 minutes each way. This would have been useful to know beforehand." (1934375)

Breakfast was satisfactory and all public rooms were clean and tidy. The one negative aspect, although it did not affect us, was that smoking was allowed in the bar. The hotel provided everything we needed to make our stay an enjoyable one. Having a lot of the rooms on the ground floor is a bonus particularly if your party has someone who cannot get upstairs easily due to arthritis or such like. Plenty of car parking space, lovely garden, excellent rooms, tasty breakfasts. My parents and I enjoyed our stay here and would not hestitate to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended."
