"Good service at breakfast, good effort by staff." (107136337)

Excellent location for Goodwood, no meal available but good pub food next door.

Stayed in 'Cottage', not in main accommodation, multiple dog 'excrement' adjacent entrance

"I would definately visit this hotel again. The area and surrounding villages that it was set in were glorious. There was alot to do in the area and the owner was more than happy to recomend local points of interest and to make reservations at local restaurants if required. Excellent, would highly recomend." (97154259)

Afternoon tea was served on the beautiful lawn shortly after arrival which was lovely. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly and made the stay most enjoyable.

The shower was a little temperamental but other than that, nothing.

"Beautiful village with everything you need either there, or in close driving distance. The atmosphere at Woodstock House is great; welcoming and very restful, which is just what we were looking for. Nick and Sandra Ansley (the owners) are doing a fantastic job at making this guesthouse homely, plus smoothly efficient." (99047105)

Sandra and Nick are a great couple keen to please. In a short walking distance is a superb pub so no need to get in the car all weekend.. We will be back." (99529680)

Very clean with lovely crisp sheets

No heating in the bathroom. A douvet instead of blankets would be preferred

"Active Hotels gave us a good description of the Hotel which told us all we needed to know. It was our 3rd visit, and although it has now changed hands, the new owners have kept it as it always was - a relaxing place for a weekend break." (99835031)

Lovely old farmhouse in a beautiful setting. Good breakfast in the conservatory overlooking a pretty garden. Fox Goes Free next door for dinner. Easy access to Chichester and the coast.

Bathroom in Room 3 is very cold. Would have liked better reading lights by the bed.

"This is a very traditional style hotel/b&b, run by a lovely couple who go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and personalised. The service was faultless, breakfast was great and afternoon tea when we arrived was a real treat. Its a little out of Chichester but a nice quiet base for a trip away if you don't mind driving to explore the locality. It would be the perfect base for events at Goodwood as you could probably walk there cross country." (99125196)

"It was a pleasant and relaxing experience in a lovely Sussex village. There is a little tavern next door that serves good food with a smile and at reasonable price. Lots of country walks are available using the walkers footpaths through sheep filled fields with quite a few rencontres with wild partridges on the way. This is a shooting area therefore those opposed to hunting or scared of gunshot may not appreciate it so much." (99076679)

"Although we did not say, We were celebrating our Pearl Wedding Anniversary (30 years) and it made a lovely country break. We were greated with a friendly welcome, cup of tea and cake and a log fire in a very pleasant lounge. We enjoyed the cooked breakfast in the pleasant conservatary breakfast room next day, and felt pampered to just the right degree. It was a pleasant 2 minute walk to the Restaurent next door for a very pleasant evening meal and was not a problem that it was not attached to the B & B.," (3304253866)

It was clean, inviting and homely. I enjoyed being greated with a log fire, a cup of tea and cake, as it was a cold winters day.

None that I can think of - may be installing sky television.

All in all very good value for money and the staff go out of their way to help if required.
