Alvia Hotel, Brighton - Reviews & Ratings"Tasteful decor & furnishings, a good situation near the seafront, pleasant &efficient staff & restful atmosphere made my stay most enjoyable." (107201637)
Booking was straightforward & staff very helpful & pleasant. Decor & cleanliness was very good & I found the environment quiet & relaxing. Good value for money including the good English breakfast.
Only two slight criticisms:When accessing the wardrobe I found the space between the end of the bed & the fireplace very narrow (Room#3); Because of the scaffolding (which I realise is temporary) I did not sleep with the window open, for security reasons, which I prefer to do.

Alvia Hotel, Brighton - Reviews & Ratings"Although the hotel would benefit from a longer reception time on Saturdays and Sundays, the staff were always helpful and really friendly. The hotel is perfectly situated and provided a comfortable base from which to explore. They also arrange discounts/special entry to various places which we would have loved to have taken advantage of! A good breakfast was provided and we couldn't have really asked for anything else." (97138806)
The hotel had a lovely decor and was very comfortable, with everything finished to a very high standard with a really keen eye for detail.
Scaffolding outside the hotel - nothing permanent though!

Alvia Hotel, Brighton - Reviews & Ratings"We'd use it again. It's well priced. clean and well run." (3305064882)
Frieindly staff, generally good accommodation for a guest house. Very nice breakfasts.
No aircon - in a top floor room in a small hotel, this meant a very hot night, despite the thoughfully provided fan. We can't blame the staff for the very noisy seagulls, nor the abundance of noisy vehicles driving up the street!

Alvia Hotel, Brighton - Reviews & Ratings"We felt that the facilities were better described as a Guest House. There was no bar. No lift so we had to climb four flights of stairs in extremely hot weather. No access to our car after it was parked. There was not always someone on duty in the hotel. The staff were helpful, the facilities were very clean and in good order and the food excellent. Would recommend with reservations." (3304752956)
Car Parking. Convenience to town centre and sea. Clean, modern room. Friendly staff. Food excellent.
Climb to attic room which was very hot. Restrictions on moving and returning car to and from car park.

Alvia Hotel, Brighton - Reviews & Ratings"We would have liked to have been informed about the London/Brighton bikeride, so we could have adjusted our travelling time to avoid a three hour traffic jam on our arrival in Brighton.Apart from this our stay at the Alvia was extremely pleasant." (3304699887)
Room was first class for cleanliness and comfort. The attitude of the staff was outstanding, extremely helpful and courtious.
Staying at the very top of the hotel, we found the noise from the road during the night disturbing, hence not a very restful nights sleep.

Alvia Hotel, Brighton - Reviews & Ratings"My stay was made better by the hotel being so good. The weather was lousy for most of the weekend, so spending a little extra time in the hotel wasn't as much of a hinderance as it might have been!" (3304658604)
The room was excellent, modernly furnished both this and the ensuite bathroom were immaculately clean. The breakfast at the hotel was nice and the staff were very pleasant. So overall i would highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing at all.

Alvia Hotel, Brighton - Reviews & Ratings"Our stay was lovley. Met by very pleasent, and friendly staff. Shown to our very well presented room. And it's slap in the middle of everywhere! Could have walked to the Marina, or Kemp town, but we just walked along the sea front up to the centre of town, and it wsa still a lovley walk back too." (3304606535)
The Main feature ws the Four Poster Bed, it was a really nice touch for our night!
Honestly Nothing! The only minor problem was parking, but it turned out that I could have arranged parking through the hotel anyway! DOH!!

Next day she came with a print out of a route planer without me asking for ..., these kind of details make the difference. Thank you and I will come again should I be around ... Room and all facilities in very good, renovated shape ..." (3304593849)

Alvia Hotel, Brighton - Reviews & Ratings"The Alvia was clean and tidy. The staff were very competent and friendly. It felt more like a B&B than a hotel in the sense that you get a bedroom, breakfast and not much else. If you just need somewhere to sleep, it's perfectly OK but if you're looking for a full service hotel then this probably isn't for you." (3304570829)
