"This is a premier B&B within period cottage, set in golf course, that has been tastefully restored to high-class accommodation. Lots of classy touches with modern fixtures and fittings, its clear the owners have spared no expense to create wonderfully opulent rooms. I can not recommend it enough (especially the Oak room) and I was only sorry I couldn't stay longer. Food in accompanying club house was wholesome and very reasonably priced, excellent breakfast! It's a little on the pricey side (for the leisure user!), but worth every penny for the extras and quality of the room (I had the biggest bed I have ever seen, plus fantastically appointed bathroom with double ended bath + shower), sheer quality!" (97845733)

Great location, quiet and beautifully opulent room, historic cottage with lots period features, lots of classy extras, massive bed, wholesome food. Very high class accommodation.

Wish I could have stayed longer!!!

    "Great place" (107221107)

The peace, the room, the food, firendly staff

    Noisy in-room minibar (minor point!)

    Good colors, nice appointments!

While it may be too late (since construction has been completed in the new part) I would strongly encourage a GOOD light over the bathroom sink. Although the bathroom is well designed, it is very dark over the sink while shaving (men) or applying make-up (women). The low-watt ceiling lights are too few and too far away from the mirror.

Bathroom lighting poor. Standing for shower very dangerous. Coffee machine noisy at night.

"My only disappointment was that I had to leave before breakfast was served, (7.30), after having arrived late the previous evening. If I'ld have thought, I would have asked if another alternative could have been made. otherwise everything exceeded my expectations. i didn't meet a soul during my short stay but this was not a problem." "I was surprised to discover that the Hotel was adjacent to a Golf Course. Accomodation was in a converted Farm Building which has been done to a very high standard. Facilities very good, and breakfast (in the club house) was also tasty! Great place to stay" (99698991)

Friendly and efficient staff. Charm and style sums up the bedroom. Very pleasantly surprised by the whole stay.

"Lovely, well furnished room situated in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The bathroom was especially nice and the wooden beams throughout the lodge provide a warm and cosy feel. We also recieved a much appreciated free room upgrade and the breakfast the next morning was very nice. Both I and my girlfriend had a thoroughly pleasant stay and I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet stay with a loved one, a golf break with friends or for anyone staying in the area on business. I look forward to my next visit!" (99085462)

Everything! The room was beautiful with splendid views across the golf course. It was well equipped and everything was clean and tidy when we arrived (we were especially fond of the bathroom!). The surroundings were lovely and the location is very peaceful... a highly pleasurable stay. (We recieved a room upgrade without asking)

There was DVD/CD player in the room as advertised, when we went to ask about this, the receptionist was not there. I checked the desk three times and there was no sign. However, everything else was perfect... a minor fault on an otherwsie delightful stay.

"Overall a very nice barn conversion. It was spoil by the intermittant noise from the mini bar. (which I was informed would be attended to). Despite being 6'5 I had no problems with the low doorways etc as pointed out in the hotel guide. However, I would liked to have been advised of the distance the accomodation is from the clubhouse, where one had to go for meals." (99924119)

The decor and quality of fixtures and furniture. The location is also very nice. Good breakfast in the adjacent clubhouse.

The noisey mini bar and the lack of detail to cleaning. I found a 'drill bit' on the bedroom floor and found the bathroom floor tacky, which suggests it was moped only and not washed and dried propoerly. The TV in the room would not tune in when I arrived early evening. However, later in the evening I was able to abtain all the available channels but not on the recognised designated channel numbers.

"First Class stay. Very flexible regards checking in as we were going to the V festival. Room was lovely apart from the head height which comes with older 'character' hotels, cannot be helped. Good facilities in the room. Setting was superb, very nice surroundings, and breakfast at the golf club next door was very nice. Definitely recommended." (3304731427)

Room had lots of character, spacious, apart from the head height and low beams which are part and parcel of older properties

    Nothing
