Cleanliness, friendly staff, good service, excellent manager, decent parking.
Only one complaint, noisy plumbing in the kitchen sink of our family room, gurgling noises often heard.

I was pleasantly surprised as I have stayed in some rubbish hotels in the past.I think you are ahead of Holiday Inn, Travel Lodge and Premier Inns, but it is close. I have recommended your hotel to my friends and family.If I had known the standard of your hotel before booking it would have made the choice easier." (97843386)
Well furnished,clean,comfortable. Decent bathroom. Liked the idea of a fridge/microwave.
Shower water not very warm, I like mine hot!

Excellent bedroom. We had a microwave,fridge and also crockery and cutlery, for our use. Well decorated and comfortable hotel. An excellent visit.

Extremely friendly and hardworking owner-staff, warm greeting and great help with heavy luggage, knowledgeable and helpful. Generous breakfast included, readily stored luggage for safekeeping even after checkout, very helpful with taxi bookings. Room was a generous size.

The accommodation was very comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The breakfast menu offered plenty of choice and was beautifully served.

It was recommended that we visit the taymouth flee market and enjoyed the walk along the coast. The hotel made the evening and with recommendation to visit a good local resturant was also nice. I THOUGHT THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE FROM CHECK IN TO CHECK OUT WAS VERY ENJOYABLE. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL WILL STOP AT THIS HOTEL AND RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS.

York House Hotel, Whitley Bay - Reviews & Ratings"Excellent value as this hotel was the cheapest option available and after seeing the others, this is a must stay hotel. Some simple but brilliant ideas, the free WiFi is a superb addition, the decent sized fridge rather than a small pokey one in the room. A proper kettle and decent tea bags. The other bonus is the location, only a 2 minute walk from the busy town centre and 2 minutes from the sea front but the hotel is situated in a very quiet area and there are no loud groups wandering past at all hours. All these little things made the whole stay a very pleasent and enjoyable experiance. I would have no problems recommending this hotel to all who see it." (99103457)

Very friendly host, excellent breakfast, comfy room, quiet location.
We arrived at 10.30pm. The door was locked and there was nobody there to let us in. After 20 minutes and 2 phone calls the proprietor arrived to let us in.
