The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"We were very happy." (99353017)
I am only nitpicking but I thought there should have been more toiletries and a choice of still and sparkling water in our room as I don't drink tea or coffee.

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"Had a very good time, everything but the ensuite in our room was good, the service was excellent as were the food and cleanliness of the hotel. If I was to stay there again I would ask for a room that was not in the annex as it would be preferable to stay in the house itself if this was available." (99291789)
Great setting, location and service. Comfortable room.
The ensuite in our twin room wasn't great- the shower was poor and the decor wasn't great.

The breakfast was also lovely and prepared exactly as requested. The garden area was well kept and ,had the weather been a little warmer, we would have enjoyed sitting out in it." (99530274)

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"Overall an excellent stay." (99104319)
Lovely setting lovely old hotel. The food was excellent. The bathrooms were excellent.
The stair way up to the bedrooms was dirty and scruffy and a little off putting. The old carpet in the rooms especially in the bathroom!!Not nice. The dirty mildew inside the bedroom windows.

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"This was a lovely hotel. The staff went our of their way to be helpful and I can't think of a bad thing so say about it. I'd certainly stay there again for business or leisure." (99869281)
Lovely building, beautiful setting, lovely crockery, excellent polite and friendly satff/service.
The only very minor thing I could comment on was that it would have been nice to have had some bottled water in the room.

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel had a good tradditional feel and was very sympathetically restored. Carpets and bathrooms were in need of attention." (99626896)
The buildings were well refurbished and made great use of the old buildings.
The carpets were in need of replacement and the bathroom was in need of refurbishment - the fittings were very dated.

Quiet, tranquil setting Nice furnishings in room and comfy bed
Felt the accommodation had a jaded appearance, needed some attention, particularly in the bathroom and dining room. Pillows poor- not plump!

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"I stay at hotels throughout the UK several nights each week, booking similarly priced and standard of hotels. The Brook House is faded grandeur relying on its imposing position and historical building to attract customers, whilst its reality is at the lower end of the scale of value for money." (3304345227)
Warm, welcoming entrance, helpful multi-tasking staff.
Signposting to reception from car park. Entry to staircase to bedrooms a gloryhole giving poor impression. Bathroom needed thorough clean and loo needed fixing to stop it wobbling!

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"Whilst the food was excellent, it was also costly. There was no option of bar snack food in the hotel." (3304343152)
efficient staff, nice surroundings, excellent food.
when booking I requested a bath but didn't get one. I think perhaps a virtual tour of the rooms would be helpful. It was very hot in the room, perhaps because it is above the kitchen.

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"Ours was a very short stay, but we are planning to return. The welcome was warm, the food was wonderful-with a great wine list. The crystal and fresh flowers in the dining room were lovely to see. The service was superb -friendly and efficient. The hotel was everything we hoped for, and more." (3304270279)
The rooms were well furnished, with (probably) the most comfortable beds in the world!
I think the choice of shower or bath would be appreciated by most guests - just a shower-attachment and a shower curtain in the bath would do.

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"Having read the web page of this hotel, we were concerned that breakfast appeared to finish at 9 a.m., however, on arrival we made enquiries and were advised that this was incorrect and it was much later on Sundays. We were pleasantly surprised that we were served with breakfast - as opposed to a help yourself buffet arrangements which applies in most hotels. On the whole, we were delighted with the hotel which came up to our expectations." (2749804)
The size, comfort and decor of the room and bathroom.
Though there was only one lady on duty on at check-in, she very kindly served us with tea after our long journey before showing us to our room.

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"In general, this could be an excellent place to stay if more attention is paid to housekeeping. All the facilities were there but I felt uncomfortable with too much dust about. We did not complain as we were only there overnight and did not spend much time in the room." (2592459)
Excellent old building with very good period furnishing and decor.
Cleanliness - vital areas were clean i.e. bed linen, toilet and bath. Unfortunately, much of the furnishing was very dusty, corners had cobwebs, i.e. under sink in bathroom very cobwebbed and dusty, dirty bathroom mirror had splashmarks. Overall opinion, not very healthy.

The Brookhouse Hotel Ltd, Burton-on-Trent - Reviews & Ratings"Rolleston its beautiful, quiet and charming. The Brookside Hotel was welcoming, pleasant, clean and attractive. Its restaurant was a true pleasure. I believe that both the hotel and the restaurant were good value. The innkeeper was always there to assist without being intrusive. As a woman travelling alone, I felt welcome and comfortable. All in all, I was glad I came." (2347974)
It was comfortable, attractive and genuine--no pseudo anything.
The storage area, which is visible at the foot of the stairs, could be tidied up.
