The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"made to feel very welcome, enjoyed the stay. a very pretty quaint hotel nicely modified without changing to much of the original building. an outside smoking area undercover with patio heating would have been nice." (97173484)

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"Fantastic hotel in a lovely village. It's been newly refurbished to a high standard and the staff were exceptional. I didn't get the opportunity to eat here, but my friends rated it highly, and one friend booked another night there and then! Highly recommend it!" (97394805)

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"We were staying overnight as we were attending a wedding reception close by. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel was lovely. The rooms are presented well and are very comfortable. The room we had was small but was adequate for just the one night. I would recommend people to stay here." (97957412)
It was modern, bright, clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The shower was very cramped but the space was used well. This may be a problem for some. I would have liked more choice for breakfast rather than just English or the 'continental' which was just cereal and toast.

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"We liked the general overall charm of the place, though we would liked to been offered another room on a lower floor. And the floor of the bedroom, could be quite off putting sloping . What we did like was the cleaness and bottles of water provided each day and room service. The waitress service was a bit hit and miss. Bit better as the days followed on. The evening meal prices were to high for us to eat in the evening. You had a good choice for Breakfast though." (97238870)
We liked the charm and the fact it was old and quaint.
The stair case was twisted and steep with two floors to climb up. Quite a task if you are more mature like us. Plus the bedroom floor sloped and the en suite was small.

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"The lay out of the hotel is a little odd, however I like it as it's quirky. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home." (99521737)
Liked the rooms, which were spotless and well decorated
the checking in service was in the bar and you then had to walk through the restaurant to get to the rooms.

Quiet
Very poor blinds / curtains to shun the early morning sinlight, and the shower cubicle was too small as there was a huge ventilation pipe hidden behind a neat, horizontal, square-shaped pipe going through the shower cubicle at head height leading to banging my head a few times and regretting to stay at this hotel.

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"We were unable to have lunch when we arrived,as the restaurant was fully booked by non-residents,quite understandably. The staffs understanding of the English language was pretty sketchy. We had booked a twin bedded room, only to be told on arrival that it was being used as a staff bedroom and so had to make-do with a double bedded room. That said it is in a nice setting in a pleasant village with all necessary amenities. Finally,it would be helpful to be told that the parking is in a public car park with only 2 hours stay permitted. However, all that said I would like to give it a second chance,as I feel sure that given the right room my view would not be so jaundiced!" (99553552)

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"The stairs to the rooms were very steep - If we had had a walking difficulty this would have been a problem. The room we were supposed to stay in was changed at the last moment we believe because of another couple could not do the stairs to our room." (99070762)
The fact that it was an old Inn (15th century) gave property character
The staff could not speak english very well

It was convenient for attending a wedding at Chilston Park
Room very shabby, bed uncomfortable, furniture in need of update. The hotel gave impression of being strictly non-smoking, yet people were smoking in the bar whilst hotel guests were eating breakfast, which was very unpleasant.

The setting was lovely, the room was okay and clean. Friendly service.
The breakfast was terrible and shouldn't have been advertised as a bed and breakfast really. All that was available to eat was some single boxes of cereal, some sweaty cheese and meat and yoghurts getting hot under the lights, none of this refridgerated. This is not a breakfast! This place is also a restaurant so they could have made a decent breakfast and it would have made all the difference.

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"Breakfast was disappointing and it would have improved my stay if I had been able to order a cooked breakfast however small. I would also have liked to have been able to check in between 3.00 pm and 6.00 pm instead of having to time my arrival to just after 6.00 pm bearing in mind the traffic on the M25 at that time of day." (3304918924)
The room was large and had a large window overlooking the square it was also very quiet.
The bathroom was small but adequate

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is formed from an Elizabethan house and has all the charm and minor draw backs associated with it. The hotel is clean and set in a beautiful village just off the A20/M20. The staff are young, beautiful and offer a friendly excellent service. The restaurent is excellent with a small but exciting menue plus a fine wine selection at reasonable prices." (3304520399)
The hotel is within a process of renovation and the results are promising
Overall the decor is a little tired and the rooms small

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"The Lime Tree is a perfect base for short stays, but if you're going to spend any time at the hotel you would probably prefer somewhere with more facilities; breakfast/room service/minibar/TV film & music entertainment; and perhaps a little more space." (3304882099)
The Lime Tree has a brilliant location in a very pretty village & area, very decent rates, lovely staff and nice rooms. Being part of a good restaurant is another bonus.
Accommodation is basic; it's really bed & breakfast (although the breakfast is continental, and hardly worth getting up for). As with many hotels, the rooms are small with creaky floors and very thin walls.

Recommendation
Quite noisy/traffic from through road, simple double glazing could rectify this.

The Lime Tree Hotel, Lenham - Reviews & Ratings"The management and staff were extremely friendly, courteous and well presented. The food was excellent. The hotel was managed to make you feel part of the family whilst still maintaining a high level of service. Our only very minor issue is that my partner would like to have had a 4 Poster Bed as depicted in the on-line hotel's photo gallery." (3305060638)
Very Clean, tidy and well presented.
Location of room 5 above the restaurant : but the noise level was not too bad for a 1 night stay and the overall experience of the hotel made this issue negligible.

"Very good hotel with an excellent kitchen." (107366497)
Hotel styling with nice little touches in keeping with their name "Lime Tree " Hotel.
The only critisism was that as I was staying two nights I had to pay credit card for the accommodation then each night pay seperate for the evening meals. I think it would have been better to authorize my card in the beginning then issued me with a final invoice on departure.
