The room was clean and well kept.
Leeking toilet on first day but it was fixed.Room was tiny. No ventilation in room. Extremely hot could not sleep. The food was edible but far from good. Wake-up call requested but not received.

Room was comfortable
I had 4 rooms booked and my customer was given a very small room and it had to be changed. I had problems to get my room key to work and had to go up and down to reception several times, No air conditioning,The furniture in reception is very dirty on the arms of chairs, I was alarmed to see so many insect or mice cathers around the hotel and food areas,

good staff very helpfull . loads of Free extra stuff like Wifi broadband and and a Free Gym.
little hard to locate at night. Single bed rooms can seem like a broom cuboard .

The pleasant staff and hotel unfortunately could not make up for this uncomfortable experience!!" (107940664)
Staff friendly, breakfast good (although did have to ask for fresh coffee as that given was cold).Plenty of towels. Room quiet. Reasonable price.
Open plan room/bathroom gave no privicy, and no shower curtain meant water went everywhere. Bed boxed in on three sides, very difficult for us in our mid-sixties to use. Smoke alarm placed so that kettle set it off!!

Overall first class service, would stay in this hotel again
Breakfast could be better, bacon overcooked, toast used poor quality bread. But presented well and all other items were fine. Just arrived from a Thistle hotel where the quality of breakfast was far superior. But overall this would not put me off booking another stay here

ONLY 1 CUP IN THE ROOM FOR TWO PEOPLE AND ONLY 1 TOWEL. WE GOT ANOTHER CUP THE FIRST NIGHT BUT IT HAD BEEN REMOVED FOR THE SECOND. ALSO VERY NOISY, NOT ALLOWED TO USE DOWNSTAIRS BAR. UPSTAIRS BAR THE WAITRESS HAD TO GO DOWNSTAIRS FOR THE DRINKS 20 MINUTES TO GET A DRINK.

room was not clean. dirty dusty surfaces and stained carpet. 1 cup to make a drink in a double room? Worst cup of tea I have EVER seen in my life at breakfast.Was told the Bar was shut at midnight even though we were residents.

De Vere Venues Harben House, Newport Pagnell - Reviews & Ratings"Never again will we use the devere chain, I was shocked and dismayed following our stay at Harben House. Having used the de vere chain a number of times before I had a good idea of the standard of expectation, i couldn't have been more dissapointed! The rooms were the smallest I have ever encountered, the decor was tatty and dated with poor washing facilities,, and filthy carpets. It reminded me of a bedroom in a grotty highrise council flat quite frankly, and in no way mirrors the standard of accom I have experienced with devere in the past. We were given 1 towel between 2, with one miniture shampoo being the only washing aid that was left in our room. We were quite excited on the way to Harben as we were attending a local event, unfortunately our mood was marred on entering the worst hotel room I have ever had the misfortune in booking! Further to all of the above on leavng th hotel one morning we left a sign on the bedroom door for the room to be serviced, we returned at midnight that evening to find that house keeping had not bothered. Your feedback would be appreciated." (97721646)
The check in staff were friendly & helpful as were the brakfast staff,that I cannot fault, but dissapointingly to say, that was the only positive comment I have regarding our 2 night stay.
The hotel accommodation block was very tired and dated. The provisions in the room were less than basic, and the size of the room was a disgarce. How it is classfied as a double room I do not know.

The room was very small with no room to walk around the bed , there was two of us staying in the double room , with only one set of towels and only one tea cup provided , i did not think this is very good at all , considering the time of which it takes to place a couple of extra items in the room !!!how do you expect two people to shower with only one large towel provided ?? i do not pay to stay in a hotel with items like this missing . On the morning that we checked out we went to the restaurant for breakfast the young lady took our room number and we just went and helped ourselves - fair enough , but trying to find a clean table , well lets just say there was not one , we had to sit on a dirty table , not very pleasant . I work in a catering establishment myself , and have done for ten years , from fast food , to hotels and restaurants , i dont expect a hotel of this nature to have such poor stands .

It was only set up for one person not two so the pain of going and asking for more towels cups etc
