Food was good though slighty on the expensive side Hotel looks good from the outside and the decor is ok on the inside.
For 150 Euros it was not value for money and supposedly we had a superior room - glad I didn't order a standard room then!

We didn't arrive til half midnight, but we were still let in and shown to our room without any check-in procedure required, the lady was even in her dressing gown! The next morning we were called just after the restaurant had closed to see if we wanted breakfast in our room. Plenty of freebies!
Very expensive breakfast (12EUR). Room rates were more than we would have liked to pay, but was all that was available in Aire-sur-la-Lys at the time.

Interesting building. Quiet position. Comfortable restaurant.
Lack of warmth from staff. No shower screen or curtain and held held shower mixer. Lighting throughout hotel needs more thought. Odd that when shown bedroom the member of staff took away bedspread leaving just ill fitted blankets. Passed on a continental breakfast at 15 euros. Didnt like to be asked to order this during our dinner. No fire doors. The staff should remember a smile goes a long way

The hotel was welcoming, and nicely decorated. And our room had a nice view of the garden.
- Really bad smell in the parking lot from what we thought was the stream. - The room had a very small double bed in it with blankets, where most modern hotels we have stayed in around the world have bigger beds with duvets. - For a super deluxe room, I would have thought it would have been away from the stairs, which proved to be very noisy. - Direction on the website need to be properly translated, and clearer.

STAYED IN ROOM 3 IT WAS EXELLENT ROOM AND VIEW AND THE OWNER OF THE HOTEL MADE US FEEL SO WELCOME AND SPOKE GOOD ENGLISH

It would have been nice to have a proper shower in the bathroom rather than just a shower head attachment to the bath.

The 4* restaurant has excellent service and menus covering a wide price range, and is very popular with both hotel residents and local clientele. The only things lacking for a hotel of this standard are leisure facilities (gym, pool, sauna etc). Elderley or infirm visitors may be put off by the flight of steps up to the entrance and the stairs to get up to the rooms." (99737990)

The grounds were quite nice, the hotel has plenty of character
Poor reception area no where to relax eccept in room,the only seats were all afternoon and early evening taken up.The rooms are in need of redecorating.The lighting is very poor and in need of an upgrade.

WE HAD TO ORDER OUR BREAKFAST THE NIGHT BEFORE AND IT WAS PRETTY MINIMAL BY MODERN STANDARDS. CLIENTS SHOULD BE WARNED IN ADVANCE THAT THE ENTRANCE IS UP A VERY STEEP FLIGHT OF STONE STEPS.WE KNEW THAT THERE WAS NO LIFT." (99100517)

It was a lovely old chateau, comfortable and well furnished, with splendid grounds.
Would have liked a shower curtain/screen in the bathroom. Room was a bit small, but we could have paid for a larger one and it was fine for one night. Unfortunately we arrived too late (9:45pm) for dinner, but it would have been nice to be able to get a sandwich or snack. However, we did get some coffee and superb petits fours.

The food at Les Mousquetaires is of exceptionally high quality and reasonably priced with many differing tastes and textures, I would reccommend the roule of sorbets to finish the meal followed by coffee or similar in the lounge to end your evening. An excellent place to take your Lady if you wish to impress." (99284670)

Unable to open a window to let in fresh air but we could open the door onto a small balcony but this let in a little too much air for this time of year.

We stayed because we had dined there before and enjoyed the meal. We were not disappointed. I thought the food excellent.
I thought the room was basic, but adequate. Room was small; bed was too soft; 2 chairs in the room both 'rickety'
