Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Food was beautifully presented and delicious to eat. It was a birthday 'treat' for my husband which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

Cottage In The Wood, Malvern - Reviews & Ratings"We loved the place and would definitely go there again." (107399000)
All I have are good points for this Hotel, we were looked after really well, I have a Gluten intollerance which can be awkward at breakfast time but the hotel made every effort to look after me with my meals, which included making gluten free bread and getting special cereals. The staff were very good when you came into contact with them for various reasons be it in the restaurant, bar or reception. The room we had faced out to the front and was spectacular even to the point where they provided binoculars to see.

Cottage In The Wood, Malvern - Reviews & Ratings"As near excellent as it's possible to be. Also, brilliant value for money, as I got a "two nights for one" deal.. " (107999428)
Probably the most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed in. Has very comfortable bed, excellent en suite, great touches like binoculars, DVD/CD player, homemade biscuits ..Fabulous views, access straight up Malvern hills...
I'm very fussy, but have to say there are very few bad points. I don't like the way they cook fish "opaque", I think fish should be properly cooked. Otherwise, no other grumbles.

Cottage In The Wood, Malvern - Reviews & Ratings"I would recommend the hotel but would advise that anyone book a table for dinner at least 1/2 hour before you want to eat." (107292415)
The Hotel was excellent and very professional. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Only one bad point really and that was the wait for dinner on the second night. We booked a table for 7.30 pm and waited in the bar. We had to get our own menu and ask for a drink when staff should have done this. We weren't shown to our table until 8.25 pm and didn't eat until 8.35 pm. If you book a table for a certain time it is because that is the time you want to eat. Again this was the only downside.

Broken curtain rail. Restaurant expensive compared to similar hotels and some dishes disappointing eg very ordinary sirloin at

Resteraunt was excellent as was all service from all staff we encountered.
Mold on bath tiles, musty smell (no dampness) in room. It smelt badly of damp even though it was not damp.

Glorious views. Good breakfast. Well equipped room. Problems dealt with efficiently by reception staff - deduction made immediately for poor evening meal experience.
Room decor vey tired - in need of modern refurb (standard double room). Long wait for evening meal - 50 minutes. Quality of evening meal main course.

Cottage In The Wood, Malvern - Reviews & Ratings"We really enjoyed the peace and quiet that the hotel offers. The room was a good size and nicely furnished. The views are outstanding and you are made to feel very welcome and not like "just another" guest." (107176874)
Excellent Location & Views. Lovely rooms and excellent service
Very few, we were asked to move at breakfast because we had sat at a table that was set for dinner when we'd have expected them to have reset the table for us. Other than that and the fact that it's not within walking distance of Great Malvern , which - in fairness - is well stated, it's an excellent hotel.

Cottage In The Wood, Malvern - Reviews & Ratings"Website suggested that the room that was booked, superior, had a bathroom. This turned out not to the case as the en-suite facilities contained a shower and no bath. However, the staff were very helpful and the room was changed for one with a bath and shower in the en-suite. The problem arose, it would appear, because of the on-line booking procedures, rather than being able to communicate and discuss requirements over the telephone. The overall impression of the hotel, however, was one of calm and friendliness." (97756713)
Friendly atmosphere with helpful and efficient staff. Peaceful surroundings.
Drinks prices somewhat high, and little choice of vegetarian options for breakfast and dinner. Menu did not change.

The Accommodation was lovely and had the extra touch of the little things in life like the iron and ironing board and the little sewing box.
there was no heating on in the room and was very cold in there when we first arrived.

Cottage In The Wood, Malvern - Reviews & Ratings"HAD WE REALISED IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL, THIS WAY WE WOULD HAVE BEEN SURE TO GET A ROOM ON THE FRONT WITH THE EXCELLENT VIEWS ACROSS THE VALE OF EVESHAM. THIS MIGHT HAVE COST MORE BUT WE WERE PREPARED TO PAY ANY EXTRA." (99571015)
hotel was clean and well equiped. there were blankets and sheets rather than ther dread douvets, hurrah. plenty of hot water in the bathroom. good selection of bedside books and a lot of thought into customers needs. umbrellas were in the bedroom.
lack of views as requested, though the staff were able to change the room for a better one on the first night.

Cottage In The Wood, Malvern - Reviews & Ratings"Everything was excellent. The views, the service, the food, the public areas and the room. The dog appreciated his bed, bonios and the fuss made of him by people he met. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone." (97748061)
Peaceful, clean, delightfully decorated and welcoming to our dog. Loads of thoughtful touches and facilities in the room.
There was nothing really to dislike although the room was possibly a little small for the amount of furniture.

Everything about this room was top of the line from the flat panel tv to the amazing shower/bathroom.
Honestly, only that the food in the dining room was a bit fancy for our usual fish and chip taste.

Cottage In The Wood, Malvern - Reviews & Ratings"A wonderful weekend break, the whole ambience of the hotel and the environment contributed wonderfly to a very romantic time. Staff were polite, yet frendly and nothing was too much trouble." (45893511)
The hotel had thought of everything, from bathrobes, to Malvern water and 'homemade' biscuits in our room. Everything was beautifly presented, clean and extremley comfortable.
