Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"Enjoyed it and would recommend to others." (107510292)
The room was comfortable although my wife found her matress uncomfortable to sleep on. Reception staff were very helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Staff in restaurant at breakfast were really pleasant and came acroos as very happy people.
The bathroom whilst very clean was in need of updating. Too many repair jobs to beading around bath etc.

evening porter very helpful
one party disabled in wheelchair unable to get wheelchair into lift had to get out of chair and get into lift no help from staff. unable to put wife in wheelchair to get to room like an obstacle course no help from staff. when wheelchair in room unable to get round. bed broken bottom half of bed on the one side no support did not find out until very late and had already had bad experiences with the room had no sleep, reported bed in the morning. no way has this hotel got adequate disabled access, had to carry wife to room. lift door in reception will not take wheelchair too narrow. hotel contacted before we went they should have stressed to us that we would have had difficulties all the way down the line, and not adequate for disabled, lift can be modified to wheelchair access, larger door in bar.

Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"cheap functional room. average facilities but it was far too warm with little ventilation and no air-conditioning which was lead to an uncomftortable night's sleep.." (108423660)
Quiet room and efficient check-in with helpful staff.
Room was extremely warm with little ventiliation - which led to an uncomfortable night's sleep. Weather was not particularly hot that day / night either.

Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"As ever, a pleasant enough stay in an excellent spot. Some concerns about the quality of rooms on this floor as opposed to the otherwise very good standards, but unfortunately, very early departures on both mornings of my stay prevented me discussing this with hotel staff. Wouldn't hesitate to book again, but would request not to have a room on this floor if possible." (108668567)
I've used this hotel again and again due to its excellent central location and good value for money. Staff in particular are very friendly and attentive.
First time I've been allocated a room on the top floor (4th) and found it to be rather musty and smoky smelling. Lift call button not working on this floor.

Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"Booked the hotel just to sleep there, not sit in the room all day long. All in all its ok if u want to live close to city centre for a reasonable price and u don't need a plasma in your room nor jacuzzi in the bathroom :)" (108617875)
Good value for money, very close to New Street Station (3minutes), clean.
Room was a little bit small, bathroom looked like from early 90s.

Friendly staff, reasoable price, nice breakfast and a very clean environment.
No cooling facilities, it was a very hot day, TV was not working, the engineer did not turn up till we left, with a toddler no TV is no fun.

Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"Another pleasant and relaxing stay at this hotel. Staff are attentive and friendly - with a special mention for the night porter who is always pleasant and friendly, even at late hours in a city centre hotel! There are elements of decor which are looking a little tired, but this remains a clean, safe and reasonably priced place to stay in the city centre." (107724196)
Centrally situated and convenient for railway and coach stations, local transport links and city centre attractions.
The hotel is in a busy and sometimes noisy city centre location, so opening windows for ventilation can allow excessive noise into rooms.

Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"A comfortable and very good value base for a couple of days in the city. The hotel is safe, clean and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Like any city centre budget hotel, facilities are not always brand new, but the hotel remains a good place to stay when in Birmingham." (107668197)
Located in the heart of the city, ideally situated for railway station and with easy access to the city centre and entertainment districts.
Location means hotel can be noisy late into the night, rooms a little tired and in need of refreshment. Lift unpredictable - doesn't always arrive when called!

Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"A very pleasant one-night stay. Wasn't at the hotel much, so can't comment on the other facilities, apart from my £39 en-suite double room which was excellent quality & value. Didn't have breakfast so can't pass judgement on it." (107363235)
Convenient location, very close to Birmingham New Street Station. Within easy walking distance of the National Indoor Arena, for the event I was attending. Excellent room. Polite staff.
The television reception was poor. Lots of static/hissing marring the broadcast on all channels. Manual adjustment of the aerial did not help. Having said that, I wasn't there to watch telly!

Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"OK - much better than an outer London 3 star place I used recently where it was old-fashioned and smelled of fumes, and it cost £87 per night inc. breakfast, but when I went down at 8.30 it had finished and a sharp East European woman sent me away with a flea in my ear. Hence I don't do breakfast anymore. I did not feel welcome." (107545273)
Clean, well presented, comfortable bed and good shower. I felt my business was valued.
The cold tap ran warm all the time and I could not drink the water for teeth and overnight refreshment. The room was over warmly heated and the atmosphere was rather dry, but it is a difficult time of year for heating.

Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was very quiet and although we paid a low price I felt the allocation of room could have been a bit more generous." (107738559)
The price was probably the only good point.
The room was small and dark and smelled of disinfectant/musty. The carpet was soiled. Although there was a restaurant, there was no facility to eat in the evening. The bar had no white wine so we had to leave the hotel to eat/drink.

Central location.
Room stank of stale smoke despite requesting a non smoking room. Decor was tired and grubby. Shower gave out only warm water on 2 separate ocassions and was falling apart. Shaving light in bathroom did not work. Bed was old and uncomfortable.

Comfort Inn City Centre Birmingham, Birmingham - Reviews & Ratings"Sean - excellent customer service." (97569079)
Booked through the Internet (Priceline) and reserved 2 x Twin Rooms in July. On arrived was informed that this was not the cas. What was booked was 1 x Double 2 x Single, totally inappropiate for the party travelling. However Sean (manager) provided excellent customer service in providing (as part of compensation)breakfast for all parties, and did everything possible to make a comfortable stay. Although the accomodation was good it would have been better had we received the rooms requested.
Will not use Priceline again, will book direct via hotel next time.

"The hotel is old and very tired. I attended a conference there, the hotel is just not geared up for conferences, tea/coffee late, insufficient cups and also plates at lunch. No paper and pens provided for delegates. Only one member of staff who was trying to look after reception as well as the conference. " (108642055)
Upon arrival the hotel had no record of my bookig despite me having the print out of the booking confirmation. I also had a reservation for later in the week so I double checked that reservation and again there was no record of the booking. No parking at the hotel.
