"Our stay was over the New Year with friend who had flown in the the festivities. We had a good time except that on the night of New year our friends had their bathroom flood and so had to move rooms on their return (earlier than planned!). We were also disappointed that the restaurant was closed for the 31st and 1st. We did not use the health facilities, but have in the past and found them very pleasant. The real joy of the hotel is it's situation with the beach in front and the river behind giving super views over La Coruna and the bay, with good opportunities for walking along the promonade. It is right in Santa Christina near to a good selection of restaurants and bars for grreat evenings out and close enough to the city for exploring." (99648892)
The position is fantastic and the views are superb! The cafeteria is very good for breakfast, etc.
The decor is dated now and could really do with a complete revamp. The fridge/minibar is noisy and had to be turned off each night for sleep. There was a lot of transmitted noise, but this is the constrution method of the building; and the doors do not kill any sound from the tappy wood floors in the corridor. Previously there was carpet which did help. BUt all in all it was fine!
