Hotel Flandre Angleterre, Lille - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful not pushy at all regarding payment. Nice flat screen in room but did not work! Asked for a twin room when booking as travelling with a girlfriend but was given a double bed which got change very quickly. Hotel is well situated for a weekend shopping and car park facility was appreciated as it is essential in Lille! Hairdryer was available in bathroom but shower was just an attachment to bath no curtain.Mini bar was adequate no tea/coffee facilities.Far too hot though and no way to regulate the heat in the room." Staff were very friendly and helpful. even wnet ot the trouble fo heating milk for out toddlers one night when asked. Great value breakfast.
Our room wat right in the attic so with lots of luggage (travelling with young children it was a bit of a hike) and I made sure we understood the fire evaulation route! Also a little worried about the kids on the windy stairs

accueil propreté et bon fonctionnement des équipements. chambre calme (partie arrière)
formule petit déjeuner d' une autre époque,servie comme il y a 30 ans sur un plateau avec le traditionnel croissant pain beurre confiture; l évolution vers une formule buffet apporterait un plus à cet excellent hotel. persistance d une très forte odeur de tabac froid dans la chambre malgré une étiquette spécifiant que c était une chambre non fumeur

Le petit déjeuner est copieux/ the breakfast was huge with fruits, bread, hot chocolate, croissant, etc.
Chambre mal isolée, j'entendais le bruit dans les couloirs et surtout dans la rue. Bedroom poorly isolated with lots of noise in the corridors and outside. Il y faisait extrèmement chaud même avec le ventilateur à fond. It was extremely hot even with the cool air ventilation.

"An enjoyable, comfortable 3 night stay. All staff were very friendly and polite." (107521567)
Room was clean, warm and the bed was comfortable. Not too noisy either. Good value hotel for the centre of Lille if you are not looking for anything too fancy.
Shower was a little loose though plenty of hot water. The drain from the shower tray was slow.
