  Friendly, helpful staff.

  Possibly consider having some wine in the mini-bars in the room.

  "Nice Hotel. Excellant staff. Room small. The lobby bar was well stocked. Private bar in bedroom was well stocked. Breakfast was a delight.A bit expensive to stay. Will stay there again when in Amsterdam." (97202909)

  "This is a fab hotel located in one of the best spots in the city. It overlooks a canal and is walking distance from the major sites. The open bar is always fully stocked with drinks and munchies, which is lovely after a day of sightseeing. The rain shower in our room was amazing, with steam and even a eucalyptus scent option. This hotel was well worth the price." (99281318)

  "Good service, booked some good restaurants for us. Staff were very nice and smiley. We got ripped off getting cab from Central Station to Hotel, the guy said 20 euro I said how much? he goes 15 euro and started getting quite agressive. The staff at the hotel told us it should not be more than 10 euro (after the event mind you). When we got cab from hotel to Central when leaving Amsterdam it was 8.70 so beware of being ripped off by cab drivers. Else take no 16 tram from central to the hotel. But had a brilliant weekend in Amsterdam it was good fun and no complaints about the hotel except slightly overpriced." (99542115)

  The rooms were small but very well equipped and comfortable. Nice flat screen plasmas, beds were extremely comfortable, shower room was big and shower head very strong.

  The hotel sells itself on the web as complimentary drinks from mini bar however there was no wine or champagne which is my choice of drink. The bar area downstairs was a bit untidy, reminded me of an airline lounge.

  Did request a canal view, unfortunately not available
