I banged my head on the TV stand (fixed to wall) when reaching into my suitcase, which caused an injury which wouldn't stop bleeding. I asked for a plaster at reception, and was eventually given a blue one (rather unsuitable on your forehead when you are just about to go out to dinner!). I mentioned it again when checking out as I didn't want someone else having the same accident, and they said they'd look at it and thanked me for pointing it out.

good location close to facilities of town but quiet. Unobtrusive yet attentive staff. Excellent food and very comfortable room. Would feel absolutely confident in recommending the hotel to others.

Peaceful, very comfortable bed, pleasant staff, well balanced meals. Extra heater and electric blanket provided.

Ascot House Hotel, Harrogate - Reviews & Ratings"Finding the car park was difficult, I went into the council car park first. Once I found the hotel car park there was plenty of space. Service was very good arrived at 11.30am and my room was ready. Suitcase was carried up for me. Room was warm, bed was comfortable,shower was of a good temperature. Soap was provided, towels and flannel. There was tea, coffee decafinated coffee and two milks plus biscits in the room.Evening meals there was a good choice of food which was cooked to perfection fast service and plesent waitresses.Pack lunch available.Map of town was available from reception. All in all a good place to stay" (97767394)

Found it had a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, the staff were very polite and approachable. The food was well presented and of a high standard. Location has easy access into Harrogate. Ascot House Hotel, Harrogate - Reviews & Ratings"My stay was a very positive expereince and I would definately recommend this hotel to others. The only part that I would have liked to know beforehand was regarding the payment. As it was a business trip the accomodation was to be paid for on the organisation's credit card. When I came to check out there was a small balance to pay that I had to pay myself (and ultimately claim back)as the 'deposit' only had been charged against the card. It would have been much easier (and was my understanding) that the total cost would be changed against the credit card." (99236252)
All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is a lovely atmosphere to the hotel - very welcoming.

The meals were excellent with a good variety and on par with cruise pre-sentation. Any enquiries we made were dealt with efficiently. We were celebrating my partner's 80th birthday and we were pleased with the effort that the staff put into the evening meal. Comfortable, clean and well maintained
Considering it was a superior room, it was a bit on the small side, but for the skylight it would have been claustophic for us. It was not possible to change rooms due to the hotel being fully booked although they did try to accomodate us.

They even provided me with gluten free bread which made the stay even more pleasurable. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. It was only a short walk to the Harrogate town centre, so we didn't need to use the car all weekend." (3304750361)

Great friendly staff, very helpful. Fantastic room, can recommend the 4 poster. Great breakfast really good wey to start the day. The atmosphere in the Hotel was relaxed, freindly, welcoming and quiet, no disturbances.
