"A good overnight stay, but drink was expensive." (107626989)

Very clean and well presented, good room facilities. Excellent cooked breakfast, helpful staff.

We were on the top floor, the stairs were quite narrow and steep and would be difficult for anyone with walking difficulties. We were charged £6 for a can of beer and a coke, which seems excessive.

    "A well appointed establishment." (108669626)

    Cleanliness. Appointments. Rates

No customer service - or is that usual for single women? Room was on the 3rd floor - difficult for an older woman. Room phone did not seem to work well. Didn't receive phone messages from Australia.

"A nice convenient hotel to stay in. Clean, warm and with a good quality breakfast." (107428470)

Very good breakfast. Plenty of choice. Orange juice was freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit was available. Vegetarian cooked breakfast available.

    Single room a little small.

"A haven in a busy town yet close enough to the various amenities. I enjoyed my stay there and will return when next I visit Harrogate." (107911314)

The Grafton was pleasing in appearance and situated in a quiet part of town, with on street parking for which I was given a disc pass. The staff were calm, helpful and very efficient; the accommodation was immaculate and well presented. The inclusive breakfast catered for all tastes and was cooked individually; perfectly cooked and well presented.

Unfortunately, I found myself in need of a room in Harrogate on the weekend of the Flower Festival but The Grafton fitted me in, albeit on the top floor. Next time I stay there I shall book in good time in order to sample the rooms on the lower floors - which looked very tempting!

"Lovely hotel in a very good location. A short walk to the main shopping area and the Conference Centre. A good choice of restaurants within a short walk and parking directly outside the hotel." (107607940)

Every thing about our stay was positive from a spolessly clean room, stunning bathroom, very pleasant staff to the checking in and out procedure. We did not have one negative experience and will definitely stay there again.

Hotel was easy to find & cllose enough to the centre to walk but in a quiet location. we were treated really well and everything was comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and served hot as it should be. I would recommend it

"Excellent hotel-will stay there again next time I am in Harrogate" (107133162)

The hotel was in a great location, teh decor was modern and recently decorated in the 2 double rooms and the service in the hotel was excellent.

The single rooms were a little small and in need of modern decor but i imagine the hotel is being done up in stages so these will be done to the same standard as the double rooms soon.

"The hotel and room had been made welcoming and comfortable without fussiness - I have paid much more in other hotels for far inferior treatment. The Grilled English Breakfast was amongst the best I have ever eaten." (97053425)

I was extremely pleased with the service I received

cleanliness and quiet location. Breakfast was excellent

Certainly not a 4 star hotel. The phones and clocks didn't work, the bar was poor and the narrow stairs are not good for people with walking difficulties

"I think it was graded as a 4-star which was over-rated. The staff were very pleasant throughout our stay. I would say the breakfast could have been hotter and better prepared." (97738995)

Close to teh centre of town

Misguided slightly as I would say that it was just more like a large bed and breakfast rather than a hotel

The friendly staff, the delicious breakfast each morning. Soundproof rooms, usually in hotels you can hear televisions, chatting, baths running. Not here, it was very peaceful.

The quilt that had seen better days, new quilts don't cost that much it would be nice to have a fluffy one. Bathroom sink had a crack in it. Breakfast wasn't served later than 9am, not even on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

"Location is excellent being walking distance from facilities, and from the Harrogate International Centre. The rooms are very good, and the large and pleasent lounge looks like a nice environment for an informal business meeting, although we did not use it on this occassion. Staff were also very pleasent and helpful, and the breakfast was very good! We will certainly use this hotel again if / when in Harrogate or the surrounding area." (97812939)

"The rooms were spacious, the beds very comfortable. The ensuite bathrooms were well equipped with plenty of towels. We would certainly use the hotel again." (99386325)

Central position, but quiet street. Easy access to Restaurants. Easy parking.

The breakfast - not very healthy. All the cereals were mass produced and contained sugar. The toast was very basic sliced bread.

close proximity to the Harrogate Conference centre. Replaced towels every day. Clean and tidy rooms.

Room small. In comparison to a colleagues room which was a better size and standard
