Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"fine, would return for another overnight stay." (108138538)
location very good; breakfast good and staff very pleasant and well trained both at Reception and in the Dining Room.
shower could have been a little cleaner and lot more powerful. parking spaces were at a premium as there was also a wedding taking place, we were forewarned about this.

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"Very enjoyable " (108525241)
Although there was a wedding on the same day, we felt we were still treated as importantly as any other guest, and at no time felt overlooked. Our welfare was still important.

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"Fine, would stay again, probably eat elsewhere" (107626153)
Quiet room, nice situation
Food basic to poor, over compensated for by slightly old fashioned service. I would have prefered more informal, but updated, style both of food and restaurant

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"I would definitely go back again because of its excellent location, friendly staff and good food!" (107442885)
Lovely mansion accommodation @ Eaves Hall, fantastic countryside with good view of Clitheroe & Pendle Hill from bedroom, really good choice & excellent breakfasts. I tried their full breakfast first morning & scrambled eggs & smoked salmon second morning. Evening dinner meal was very good. I was upgraded to executive double room which was much appreciated
I think the bedroom decorations are looking slightly dated

Food at Evening Meal was excellent
No direct access when booking on-line to confirm specified accomodation e.g. twins or doubles - but a separate email request was acted upon satisfatorily. Putting and Pitch/Putt facility neglected, especially tee-offs and flags.

The room was clean and spacious and had a lovely view
The room was in desparate need of decorating, and needed a new carpet and furniture. I'd only give it a 2/3 star rating

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"The staff and service was very good. I enjoyed the meal in the restaurant. The single room was small but adequate. As stated above the only thing that did not work properly was the television." (97142659)
The nice old world atmosphere and the peace and quiet.
The television was not working properly although it did not affect my stay.

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"The booking was very quick and easy, but because I hadn't actually paid in advance and it seemed so cheap, I was slightly nervous about the rooms actually being booked. However, having used priceline twice last week and had no problems, I don't think I'd worry about it now. As for the hotel, although it looks very grand from the outside, the bedrooms could do with a bit of modernisation, but they were a good size, clean and good value for money so overall I thought it was very good." (99104397)
Good value for money, clean and in a lovely building.
The bedroom decor was a bit shabby, but it was clean and serviceable, and I can't complain given the cost!

The manager of the hotel was great he even took time out to explain the history of Eaves hall. The provision of all the sporting equipment was free and we took advantage, we had a great stay, thanks." (99768693)

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"A very pleasant hotel to stay in with good service and pleasant staff. We felt our stay was extremely good value for money and would certainly recommend and stay there in the future. Some of the facilities the hotel has are extremely good value and are of high quality (especially the fishing on the river Ribble). As we are likely to visit the area again in the not too distant future would be looking to book again (as long as the refurbishments do not push the price up too high!)." (99580789)
The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the interior has great charm. The service was very efficient and staff were friendly and helpful. Towels and linen were clean and evidenced a high standard of care.
Not really a dislike as the Hotel is clearly in the process of refurbishment, and there were times when parts of the facilities were used to store materials or furniture.

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is listed as Georgian style. It is in fact a Victorian building with a 1920's Georgian facade. It does have an interesting history with both comfortable interiors and extensive grounds. The hotel has recently changed hands and is commencing extensive refurbishment. In some parts, it currently has an air of faded glory. We had neither lunch nor dinner at the hotel as these appeared to offer only three course table d'hote meals. The breakfast was however very welcome and well served. The problem of rooms close to kitchens is common to many hotels, but in this case was dealt with quickly and pleasantly." (99421869)
It was a very well presented hotel with helpful staff
The first room offered was near the kitchen and was noisy and smelly. However, the reception staff readily offered a very acceptable alternative.

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"This hotel has been taken over recently and the accommodation does need refreshed and given an injection to brighten things up. The food was very good. As it was a Bank Holiday weekend I thought it would have been busier. Glad it wasn't as staff seemed to be in short supply." (99980466)
Good size room.
Things a bit tired looking but ok for short stay.

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"Generally happy with our stay, overall beautiful hotel and surroundings and helpful staff." (99372600)
The hotel was a lovely building with great grounds. The staff were great and very polite and helpful.
We found the room slightly disappointing compared to the rest of the hotel. The decor needed refreshing to keep the room consistent with the rest of the hotel, it was more of a guest-house style room. Would expect something a little more special as the rest of the hotel is quite grand and plush.

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"We found the staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and tidy with a pleasant view over the gardens. The bed was very comfortable and there were spare blankets in case they were needed (although we found the duvet perfectly adequate). The radiator was adjustable and the windows could be opened. The room was kept at a pleasant temperature (which is rare in hotels). The hotel was traditionally furnished and appeared to be going through a period of refurbishment. There was a residents' lounge stuffed with comfy sofas and the gardens were available to sit in as well. We were very happy with our stay - the prices were very reasonable - and would recommend it to friends as well as stay there in the future ourselves." (99319295)
It was friendly and unfussy. Also, the room wasn't overheated (which is unusual in a hotel).
The condition of the room wasn't great. There had obviously been a water leak from the room above and so there were stains on the ceiling. In the bathroom the extractor fan didn't work and the ceiling paper was starting to come away. The shower screen also let water through. Having said all this, the room was very clean and the hotel appeared to be going through a process of refurbishment.

The setting, the grounds, the leisure facilities and for the most part, the pleasant lack of someone else's idea of music. Golden silence was bliss. (Except at breakfast.)
My wife is arthritic and was unable to use the bath or shower. A walk-in shower would be better. The lift did not eliminate all steps to our room. Management informed me that improvements are in hand.

Eaves Hall Country Hotel, Clitheroe - Reviews & Ratings"When we drew up to the hotel we were very impressed with the setting and appearance. The entrance to the hotel is very grand but reception is like a hatch!! little help was given in getting to our room. As we went up the stairs it was obvious we wre going to the economy section of the hotel. The smells were a mixture of damp and sickly air freshners! The troom was really tired looking. tThe quilt looked ancient although the bedding was clean. An air freshner was being used to mask other smells. The bed had very little support. The bathroom ws really hideous especially since there was black mould around the taps. THe water pressure was also so low that it took ages to shower. Beakfast was fine on the first morning ( we were alone in the restaurant) and very god on the saturday when the hotel was pretty full!! This hotel could be magnificent with a bit of money spent on it. Overall though for " (99725009)
