City Apartments Newcastle - city, Newcastle upon Tyne - Reviews & Ratings"We had a lovely couple of nights" (107921444)
Very central
Obviously because it was central it was noisy. Could have been a little cleaner and not very well equipped for cooking but don't suppose many who stay there actually do any cooking!

City Apartments Newcastle - city, Newcastle upon Tyne - Reviews & Ratings"very good. would probably use again" (107400042)
ideal location. good size of apartment. good facilities
smell of cigarettes in main bedroom.noise from a 'youthful' crowd at the end of the corridor at 3 in the morning. The advice is to check the other clientelle staying on your floor and ask to change if need be. There are a lot of stairs, which will make it unsuitable for families with children still in pushchairs.

City Apartments Newcastle - city, Newcastle upon Tyne - Reviews & Ratings"Lovely" (107534233)
My overall experiance was excellent I like to have self catering accomadtion but can't always get this city centre at a reasonable price
The only problem with the apartment was a kitchen cupboard door was damaged which had no affect on me and as far as I am concerned if this is the only problem I am impressed

Spacious apartment in good location
Cleaning could have been better. Vodka shots found left in kids bedroom on arrival. Showers only basic clean. Strange smell in main lounge area on arrival and no air freshner available on reception

City Apartments Newcastle - city, Newcastle upon Tyne - Reviews & Ratings"Would stay here again because of its excellent situation in Newcastle." (97444774)
Excellently situated in the heart of Newcastle. Comfortably furnished and reasonably spacious apartment.Clean.
Had contacted to request twin beds as opposed to double, week before stay. Assured this was not a problem as bed could be separated into singles. This was not done and was not possible to do. Very small double bed was not adequate and although bedding was supplied to enable us to use sofa this was not really acceptable.

City Apartments Newcastle - city, Newcastle upon Tyne - Reviews & Ratings"It was a great and convenient to stay in this hotel as it was just at the shopping door step. However it was not convenient when it comes to bringing up and down our huge luggage bags. Hope the management could do something about that. " (107164612)
The rooms are spacious and very clean. I'm satisfied during my stay there. Excellent!

clean, tidy, good facilities, good space and view. great location. would have no hesitation in booking again
wanted to check out at 7.45 on final day - rang telephone number left - person said they would be there in 2 minutes. we had to ring back 20 mins later when we were then told that they would activate my credit card instead. would have been better to have clear info re reception opening times and check out procedure if not open

City Apartments Newcastle - city, Newcastle upon Tyne - Reviews & Ratings"My friends and I did wonder if whether the apartment would live up to the information and photographs on the website and we are pleased to say it exceeded our expectations; the cost was very economical considering the facilities we had and we would definitely recommend this to others and will definitely be staying again!! The service also provided by Active Hotels was second to none and I now have the contact numbers and website address saved in my favourites and have also recommended the firm to all of my friends." (97301358)
The apartment was fantastic and had everything you could ask for; very spacious and comfortable.

Well located. Modern facilities (plasma TV even in bedrooms!). Extremely clean. Adequate kitchen.
Ran out of hot water on final day. Showered with cold water instead, which was unpleasant.

It was so smart! Very up to date and impressive.
Nothing, really. The toaster was a bit over-zealous. I think you can tell by that comment that we had little to complain about. I think the only other thing was that the door closers were a bit too enthusiastic so one had to be very attentive to closing doors, especially in the middle of the night!

City Apartments Newcastle - city, Newcastle upon Tyne - Reviews & Ratings"We walked from the main station without difficulty and found it easily right opposite Fenwicks. Street noise was not excessive, especially at night. More than enough facilities for eating in, but we chose a nearby Chinatown buffet recommended by very friendly reception staff. All crockery, bedding etc was almost new and the six-foot wide double bed was very comfortable. The power shower was great and easy to use! We would certainly visit again if in the area." (99245787)
Spacious, clean, great views for people-watching, extremely convenient for shopping and meeting friends

City Apartments Newcastle - city, Newcastle upon Tyne - Reviews & Ratings"I was just so impressed at this place. I was travelling with my mother and sister and the apartment for four suited us perfectly. Its very rare I find nothing to complain about but our stay was a rare case where everything was as described and was excellent value for money. It helped that the foodhall in Fenwicks across the road had just opened too. I will definately stay here again next time I visit Newcastle." (99679238)
Clean, well decorated, everything worked.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the City Aparthotel and this time came with a much larger group of friends - some staying at the quayside hotel and myself and others in the City apartments. The spacious and clean accomodation is the best I have ever experienced and I will definately visit again.

City Apartments Newcastle - city, Newcastle upon Tyne - Reviews & Ratings"Clearer directions are very important. We arrived in the dark and didn't have sufficient directions to find the apartments which was frustrating. The handy NCP car park should also have been mentioned. The fact the apartments are on a pedestrian precinct in the middle of the shopping area of the city was fantastic but not made apparent when being booked. The apartments themselves were excellent, the staff very helpful. My son plans to come to Newcastle for Uni & we shall definately make use of the apartments when visisting him." (99296923)

The quality of the appartment, equipment and location were absolutely first class.
parking was not an option therefore i had to park in nearby ncp car park. in addition the access to reception was via a huge flight of stairs which is very difficult to navigate by the elderly or those with heavy luggage

Apartment and location excellent. Very useful to have a space to work in.
Staff on the first day were really dreadful but on the second day were more polite, the wifi did not work which was very frustrating as the staff didn't help in any way and the wifi was one of the primary reasons I had booked there
