Grapevine Hotel, Stow on the Wold - Reviews & Ratings"This was our 4th visit to The Grapevine and obviously dissapointing" (107408671)
good position, hotel has charm , restaurant elegant, wine bar pleasant bedroom adequate
Food poor - lamb ordered pink was served overdone, one order without peppers (we explained to the restaurant manager that guest had an allergy to peppers) with aspapagas as a substitute, served with peppers and no asparagas. Starters asparagas with poached egg - the poached eggs were like rocks. In stead of taking the dish away the restaurant manager returned 5 minutes later with perfectly poached eggs !

Grapevine Hotel, Stow on the Wold - Reviews & Ratings"We stumbled on this hotel by accident as our usual one in Stow was fully booked. However the Grapevine was much better and really exceeded our expectations. The reason for our stay was to take our Australian friends around the Cotswolds as they are hungry for history and love the fact that ours goes back for hundreds of years. They had a fab time and were thoroughly impressed." (97001646)
Everything about the stay was good from our first glimpse of the Hote. Although the website and brochure photo's are good the actual frontage doesn't prepare you for how large, comfortable and well kept it is. The meal in the restaurant was top class and the staff very pleasant and helpful. In fact, we felt very special.
I can honestly say there weren't any bad points.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was well-sized and the bathroom was clean and tidy. Food in La vigna was also very good.

Grapevine Hotel, Stow on the Wold - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is centrally situated in the small town of Stow in the Wold. It is an typical cotswold hotel. It is helpful to know that the car can be parked behind the hotel rather than on the busy main street. There is a variety of food from Italian to English favourites. The breakfast was served promptly and it was very good. Pity we could only stay for one night." (97050597)
Welcoming friendly staff. It was a very pleasant stay. The food and service were excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Grapevine Hotel, Stow on the Wold - Reviews & Ratings"My brother was also staying at the Hotel as it was his sons wedding. It was his intention to provide Dinner for his 10 guests on Friday evening. However, one of the staff saw us in the dining room and altered my rate from B&B to BB Plus dinner as it was to my advatage? In the morning my brother noticed his bill did not include all his guests and he was told it was not possible to reduce my bill and increase his. Hemce I ended up paying for dinner for my wife and I, when my brother wanted to pay for this - the whole process was a complete mix up and the staff seemed incapable of sorting out this simple problem" (97179798)
