Alexander House and Utopia Spa, Turners Hill - Reviews & Ratings"The only thing that let the stay down was the breakfast, everything else was excellent, from the speed of service received the perception was of under staffing, which at £145 per night, you expect a higher standard; this asside, its a gorgeous hotel, exceptionally equipped spa facility, and fantastic location for exploring countryside and/ or brighton beaches." Extremely courteous and professional staff, beautiful hotel and grounds, everything you could want in the room provided.
We ordered breakfast as room service as we have a young baby (part of the order was warm milk for babies weetabix). Requested breakfast for 9am, eventually arrived at 9:50 after 3 chase up calls, when it did arrive half of what we ordered was missing... All staff were extremely professional and polite when served, however, if we asked for anything, we soon got used to the fact we would not get it in a hurry!!

Alexander House and Utopia Spa, Turners Hill - Reviews & Ratings"We were looking for a nice place to stay near Gatwick airport before flying back to the United States. The Hotel was in the country side and it was peaceful. The rooms was very large with plenty of room to relax. The bathrooms were very nice and large. It was nice to walk the grounds and see the flowers and the plants that was well taken care of by the groundskeepers. We spent three nights here and went to the towns and villages in the area which was in easy driving range like Royal Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge." (99794833)
The hotel and the grounds were clean and well taken care of and the staff were very friendly and were always there to help anyway they could.
We can not think of anything that we disliked

Alexander House and Utopia Spa, Turners Hill - Reviews & Ratings"It would have been good to have been told to make sure I booked treatments asap - not wait until a few days before my stay - I missed out on some of the treatments (expensive ones too!) that I would have liked." (99111791)
Good sized bedroom, that wasn't all style over comfort. A beautiful resident's lounge to relax in.
I hate the duvet being tucked in on all 3 sides - it was a struggle to untuck it every night.

Alexander House and Utopia Spa, Turners Hill - Reviews & Ratings"What is good about to stay in this hotel is good services and all the staff's kind and polite and friendly attitudes. We tried the main restaurant, the dishes in which were very good and satisfactory, but we did not try the other one becaus of our short stay. The hotel does not mention the fact that you can enjoy the spa without any service charge but it is worth trying. The only problem we coped with was the difficulty of locating this hotel in a huge forest area." (99656636)
My wife and two of her friends enjoyed together the spa very much. It was free from charge for any guests staying in the hotel. I liked the main restaurant because the staff's manner and attitudes were polite and friendly as well as very attentive, and all the dishes were good to enjoy.
We went to the hotel from London via Rye and Hastings by car but got lost before reaching the hotel after leaving A23 because there were few roadsigns or landmarks shown for drivers for guidance, and besides no precise map in the area was offered by the hotel either on the internet nor at the reception desk.

"Would definitely return to this hotel. The staff were warm and friendly and the facilities were excellent. A perfect place for a relaxing retreat to re-charge and indulge yourself." (108472096)
Beautiful hotel, well thought out and in a quiet location. Room was modern and nicely decorated with a view of the outdoor jacuzzi. The shower was superb, strong flow with lots of hot water.
Wasn't sure what the deal was with the digital TV in the room as we only got 4 channels plus sport and news. When pressing the DTV button on the remote control nothing happened. We could have called reception and checked but as we were only there for one night it was no big deal.
