The hotel was on a lovely site and the apartment in which we stayed was first class. Everything was clean and well organised. The meals we had were good, with good service.

Good sized room convenient location
The Hotel has a policy of allocating clients to a set table for the duration of their stay with most of the tables in the dining room having no view. There is a conservatory which overlooks the bay but unless you have been allocated a table on arrival in this area, you do not have the opportunity to use it. We wished to book an evening meal and have a table in the conservatory however we were not able to do this even though there was a table free, just incase the guests who had used it for breakfast decided to turn up for dinner, they like us were bed and breakfast only. Needless to say we did not have dinner at the hotel.

Best Western Le Strange Arms Hotel, Hunstanton - Reviews & Ratings"A nice relaxed stay. The weather was appalling but roaring fire in lounge helped make up for that. Our room was very spacious but beginning to look in need of redecorating. On first night we decided to eat in Galley restaurant in on-site pub rather than hotel dining room but then found it fully booked - remember to check and reserve a table!" (99954786)

shower head needed de-scaling and shower to bath switch was difficult to operate.

Internet booking can be a problem and pictures not reflecting the true state of the hotel. We were delighted on arrival to see that your website did justice to the hotel. The reception area usually says a lot about a hotel and yours was a true reflection of the hotel... well decorated, comfortable, tastefully furnished wuth friendly staff.The hotel was ideally situated for touring West Norfolk. The sunsets viewed from the upstairs lounge were spectacular. Overall our stay was a positive experience,indeed we have booked a further longer holiday later in the year." (3304796321)
The overall impression was favourable. The room was comfortable, well appointed and of a good size. The on suite bathroom was bright and tidy with plenty of towels and lotions. The maid service was excellent with everything sparkling and fresh when we returned to our room.
The door to the on suite was poorly fitted and would not shut and the toilet area just inside the door was very cramped. Given the space available to fit it all in the builders did the best they could- bathroom door needs some attention

Room was spacious and comfortable, unfortunately the shower refused to work initially and we had to get the resident handyman to resolve.
Restaurant was poor and over-priced. At a cost of 6.60 for a starter of pheasant pate we did not expect it to be served with branston pickle!! Selection of desserts was unimaginative and speaking as a dessert man, very disappointing. Food at the pub next door was better value.

Best Western Le Strange Arms Hotel, Hunstanton - Reviews & Ratings"I have a concern about the Kitchen as my wife was taken ill after dining in resturant on our first night and we are fairly sure it was caused by the oysters she had consumed. We didn't say anything at the time because my wife didn't want to make a fuss but it did spoil our overall enjoyment of what was suppose to be our wedding annivery. I also noted at Breakfast that some guests ordered porridge but this was not on the menu! All these comments have been made in a constructive manner and should not be considered a complaint." Reasonably comfortable and well appointed for a single room; lovely view over the sea; non-intrusive service.
It took on average 3-5 minutes to get the lock on the door to work; television reception was very poor; food in the restaurant was disappointingly bland, but better in the hotel's pub; staff did not respond to my complaints about the lock - at night I did not dare lock the door in case of fire and not being able to get out in time! Since the hotel was full of octogenarians, this was an acceptable risk, but with a 'normal' clientele I would have felt very unsafe as a single female.

Excellent room with a sea view. Very clean and spacious.
We drink Earl grey tea which we normally bring with us. It would be nice to have Earl Grey supplied in the room with the kettle etc.

It was a small room for two people. It had a nice view but also overlooked the car park with the usually noise. The breakfast was good but we didn't have dinner as the restaurant closed too early. I would only recommend the hotel to some of our friends, not all." (2287635)
It was convenient for the golf clubs we were playing. The rooms were tidy and it had a nice lounge and dining facility.We didn't use any other rooms.
The bedroom equipment, i.e the trouser press was broken, so that ought to have been spotted. The evening bar service was a bit slow. There seemed to be only one person to do everything. Bins shouldn't be moved at 6.00am. We were woken up.

A warm and friendly hotel,and the food in the hotel was second to none.
