clean, bright, airy room. Good standard of decoration. Friendly, available staff. Lots of parking space. Clean, modern breakfast room, good food and plenty of it.
There were no bad points.

The room was clean and very quiet, we asked for a back room away from the main road noise and got one. The hotel is only about 15mins walk from town and only £5 in a taxi.
We are vegetarians and informed the hotel before arrival of this.I had a bowl of cereal (no yogurt or fruit available) and as I do not eat meat or eggs my hot breakfast consisted of a plate covered in baked beans with tinned tomato floating.- Maybe Veggie sausage,hash browns or mushrooms would have been nice

A map on the website would have been helpful. Of my colleagues at the meeting I had the cheapest accommodation, and the closest room to the University. Some who paid more had a more disterbed night, and did not have breakfast included. Overall I was very happy with my stay." (99079079)

It was quiet and comfortable and having the key to get in through the main door late and night was very useful
The shower! It was fine unless there were too many other people on the same floor having a shower at the same time in which case the temporature was not constant.

Lacation was good
The Hotel badly needs and refurb our room was tidy but there was damp above the main bed and it smelt alittle ,Becouse its on a busy rd it also made it hard to air as we didn`t want to open the windos for any lenth of time.

I was easy to find, close to the city centre and very reasonabley priced. I like the fact we had a front door key and didnt have to be back by a certain time. No late night curfew, clean tidy, Cheep, Close to Reading town centre Friendly, able to come and go as we pleased.
Bed was that comfortable, linnen and pillows needed replacing.

Donnington House Hotel, Reading - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel generally shabby & in need of decoration although some effort had been made in the bedroom. Having said that the washbasin was badly cracked in several places. There was no toilet in the room meaning a communal one on the lower landing had to be used. The shower cubicle was next to one of the beds so care had to be taken not to spray or drip water excessively on the carpet when getting in or out of the shower. The window frames were filthy. Breakfast times varied & the staff made no bones about clearing away around you if you hadn't noticed the breakfast time hours for the day." (3304593379)
The rooms at the back of the hotel are very quiet. Parking was excellent in the car park.
Hotel lobby & corridoors generally shabby. Washbasin in room was badly cracked in several places. No toilet in the room. Breakfast times varied from day to day.

TV too high in room. Dining arrangements for breakfast was very unclear and the staff diction made it difficult to understand.

I found the staf very friendly and helpful and my stay ran smoothly. The staff booked taxis for me to get to the university . Their taxi service was very reliable. My room was clean and tidy, though the shower had a very low pressure. I needed a basic single room for a one night stay which the hotel provided." (3304302222)
The check in process was very good, and the location was very close to the city centre.

Clean, tidy and close to the event venue.
For the money everything was OK but the lack of in-house evening meals and anciliary services such as newspapers, phone lines in the room etc was a bit disappointing.

Donnington House Hotel, Reading - Reviews & Ratings"I selected this hotel due to its close proximity to the University of Reading London Road campus - I was in Reading for exams and wanted somehwere that was close to the exam venue and would save me paying the high parking rates in Reading town centre. I found the staff very pleasant and they answered any questions I had. The only problem I encountered was in trying to locate the hotel as I was not aware that London Road is a one way street and I approached it from the wrong direction!" (2782932)
