Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"I have never had such a bad and strange reception in a hotel anywhere. I really felt embarrased towards the colleague/friend that was travelling with me since I had booked this. I actually would like Ramada hotels get back to me and explain this all." (108789352)
Ramada Hotel near Bingley, 11th to 12 of september: No warm welcome at the reception at all, my reservation couldn't be found in the system. The room wasn't ready. and I was asked to wait for another 1,5 hours. When I asked if a taxi could be called , a phone was pointed out and the following was said literally: "you can do that yourself right?". The phone turned out not to be working. The toilet didn't flush in my room (room 124), I didn't even bother to report this since reception was so unhelpful.

The room was not clean, the linen had not been changed from previous persons, there was cobwebbs hanging from the bathroom ceiling, the bathroom mirror had not been cleaned, there were several hairs from previous persons in and around the bath. The room had to be cleaned a further 2 times after we complained. The hotel staff assured that the hotel manager will contact us on Tuesday 01/09/2009 however he or she has not. We have stayed at the Bankfield on numerous occasions and can only view our disappointment.

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"Was not in the hotel long but the staff were freindly apart from the receptionist when checking out, grounds were very well kept and over all a nice place " (97234038)
hotel was clean and public areas were well presented, the room was clean and modern but the bathroom left alot to be desired. it could do with up dating.
the checkin was slow as there was only one receptionist and she was booking in a large party. she was helpfull but waited 25mins to check in. bathroom needed updating and the shower was hard to use as you had to stand very close to the wall

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"Despite the unfortunate circumstances outlined above we enjoyed our stay as when not trying to deal with too many guests, this hotel was in a great location and provided a good service. The room itself was clean and light and airy. We would recommend it wholeheartedly if it weren't for the badly behaved guests on our second night as even when there were too many guests the staff tried to remain calm and friendly." (97424585)
The building was impressive and the room was light, airy and very pleasant. The grounds were lovely and the location was just right for our purposes.
There were wedding guests that woke us up at 3am rowdily shouting in the corridor outside our room and ultimately trying to get in to our room. Sunday morning breakfast was completely chaotic, 2 coach parties and guests from 2 weddings all trying to have breakfast at the same time didn't work - lack of tables, food and unclean plates rushed through from an overworked kitchen. Most staff were very friendly despite their pressure of work with the exception of a bar man who was dour and only managed to smile once.

local and convenient.
Hotel is tired and in need of a refurbishment. Bathroom was badly cleaned and the ventilation didn't work. Dust and dirt behind radiator. Bed was small for a double and the mattress was poor and lumpy

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"the poor food and service, very much spoilt what was a birthday celebration weekend and I would think very hard before stopping here again." (97655454)
clean room, staff were trying to be good
understaffed, poor service, food poor and had to wait far too long for service from the Al La carte menu. inadequte supplies resulted in menu items not being available.

staff were friendly and did try their best with the limited resources.
inadequate staff numbers, inexperienced staff, lack of management control, poor presentation and inability to complete orders from the menu due to inadequate food supplies.

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"No real welcome on arrival, just the formality of booking us in. No information about the layout and facilities in the hotel. Considering the outside temperature (-3) during the day, had we been informed that the heating was either nonexistant or not working properly, we would not have booked in." (97133043)
Inadequate heating in the room, no heating in the bathroom.

Cold room - heating barely got the temperature up to comfortable level. overall temperature of hotel below comfort level with NO heating in corridor to room. Dining room in the morning was cold thus ate food and got out as soon as possible.

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"The staff that we did meet were very friendly and helpful, but we did have to go looking for a member of the bar staff to be served. Pity there wasn't any bar snacks as in previous hotels we have stayed at have provided these free of charge. Overall opinion is that the room and general appearance of the hotel was pleasent, clean and tidy. Just a bit over priced for what we received" (97539043)
clean and tidy
for the price paid I would have expected a mini bar in the room and not have to pay for the use of the television. In previous hotels the tv has been free. Didn't like the pillows, but the bed was fine

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"Nice hotel in a great location, well recommended if staying in this area." (99441355)
To be honest the location of the hotel was the main attraction. Other than that everyhthing else about the accomodation was more than satifactory. The room was of a comfortable size, clean and for most of the time quite. The staff were extremely helpfull and polite when help was requested but were otherwise seldom seen; allowing a more private and personal experiance at the hotel.
Breakfast was overly expensive, as usual, making the whole dining experience somewhat disapointing.

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"Smelly (possibly smoky) corridors of part of the hotel, check-in and -out procedures took forever! Restaurant (breakfast staff especially) staff ugently need clean uniforms. Non-smokers not well catered for in the bar area (they need to get the most prominent area, not a couple of tables near the door)." (99812144)
Beautiful room with gorgeous bed linen.
The bathroom bin had not been emptied and still had used cotton buds in it!

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"The room was a very similar lay out to the holiday inn we stayed in the weekend earlier, but the attention to detail wasn't there, dust dirt and cleanliness was the major let down when it came to your accommodation, the receptionists were helpful but the barman was rude." (3305067232)
The toilet didn't flush properly, the bath had a large rust mark and wasn't clean. the room hadn't been dusted for quite a while.

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"The room in which I stayed needed total refurbishment. The wallpaper was ripped off around the window frame and the furniture was very scratched and shabby. Bed comfortable but the duvet covers on both beds were torn. The evening meal was probably one of the best meals I have had in a hotel. The staff were very friendly and appeared well trained. My only complaint is the room. I did book a non smoking room but the one I was given smelt very strongly of cigarettes and had the inevitable ash tray! Such a pity - surely even a smoker deserves better than this. Well done to the Chef." (3304530368)

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"The room we were allocated, which i understand is typical throughout the hotel, badly needed re-decorating with grubby and torn wallpaper and generally needed a complete re-fit Breakfast at an additional charge of £11.95 offered no choice other than continental i.e crossaints, cereal, fruit juice etc. which we considered poor value for money. This hotel once had a reputation for quality accommodation and a high standard of service, its a pity Jarvis have not addressed the sliding standards." (3304130879)

Ramada Bradford/Leeds, Bingley - Reviews & Ratings"Generally very pleased with level of service and standard of accomodation. Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Not rushed through our meal or out of the restaurant even although only arriving 10 minutes before last orders and being the only people in there. Cetainly worth the extra ten pounds over a Premier Lodge" (3304100562)
Spacious, clean and well presented. Staff very helpful even after arriving later than anticipated. Good selction of food well prepared. Reasonable prices.

"Generally OK." (108774911)
Good location, ample parking, good public facilities, room tidy and clean. Staff helpful, good breakfast.
Bed had seen better days! One lift on the other side of hotel to the room (I was though offered help with the luggage)
