Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"Overall we were fairly happy with our over night stay and would stay again." (108961407)
Our room was clean and comfortable with an excellent shower and a good bed.
Noise from the function room was very disturbing in our room 221 and the terrible smell in the hotel lift on Sunday morning was disgusting but did not have time to wait at reception who were quite busy. There is also some road noise perhaps heavier curtains etc. would help.

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"I would use the hotel again, I paid a rate of £58.00 pn and overall it was VFM when you compare to a travel inn for example.Only for a bed though I wouldn't recomend if I were on holiday or looking for something special." (108496890)
Good facilities like the pool etc considering the price of the hotel rooms. Evening meals I ate were very nice.
I would advise you make sure you have the B & B rate as breakfast was charged as an extra and at £10.00 is over priced! It is by an M rd so ask for a room on the other side of the Hotel is this is a problem for you. It didn't bother me much at all as I just kept window closed but if it was a warm day it might be too much to stand.

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"Good-I'd recommend it and go again." (108266289)
Really clean room, nice to have leisure facilities, very modern decor downstairs. Claire, the receptionist, was BRILLIANT!
Disappointed that breakfast was not included in price-this was not made clear when booking.

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"Once I had found the place, I was happy. Continental Breakfast is expensive so I went elsewhere." (107446465)
Helpful staff - I was moved from one room where the bathroom fan was permanently on and noisy.
Noisy fan in bathroom - see above. Difficult to navigate to - the road system seems to have been changed recently.

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"OK, food was poor, no cooked breakfast so they wanted to charge me 7.95 for toast and a pot of tea. When I complained the manager agreed it was rubbish but done nothing for me. I complained when checking out and was told it was unusal for hotels to have cooked breakfasts! Its cheap so maybe I should have paid more. " (107673824)

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"Brilliant relaxing and a great atmosphere - we have recommended it to local friends and family for when they have visitors" (107433167)
The staff were extremely helpful - Although there was a New year Party going on our room was still quiet, this is amasing for this type of hotel - Premier lodges similar to this are not as well soundproofed - great
The handle fell off our bathroom door, it took us a while to realise where tea and coffee facilities were

no bad points except they would have liked to stay longer.

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"Satisfied. Very satisfied - so long as clothes turn up soon." (107109250)
Friendly, helpful staff. Room newly refurbished, clean and comfortable. Bed comfortable and slept well. Dinner in Hotel's Restaurant very good value; menu quite varied. Can thoroughly recommend Chef's "Cullen Skink". We would have enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam-room and gym - if we'd had the time!
Unnecessary TV in the restaurant spoiled atmosphere particularly as it was playing something like MTV all evening. Hotel is on a busy road so there is always some road noise even when not overlooking road if you need to keep window open - as we did on this warmest night of the year. We accidentally left some clothing behind and there was a bit of lack of initiative in restoring it to us. It still hasn't arrived!

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"I think that potentially you have a good hotel and restaurant but the refurbishment needs to be completed and the hotel looked at from a business persons point of view. I would use it again but would need assurances that the above comments had been addressed" (108022599)
Staff friendly but unable to help with TV
Initial room I was given was next to a dual carriageway. The receptionist was very helpful and moved me quickly to a quiet room at the back. The TV didn't work well despite someone trying to retune it I was left with a very poor quality one channel only. The restaurant was pleasant the food choice was fair - I didn't expect to pay extra for potatoes and vegetables - who is just going to order a chicken breast? A reasonably priced main all of a sudden became pricey i.e an additional

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is undergoing refurbishement, can imagine it will be much fresher once done as has seen better days, wallpaper peeling, hole in restaurant ceiling, ironing board in room not securely fastened to wall. Would have liked to know that the hotel was under refurbishment before booking." (97514698)
food was great, staff very helpful and friendly, quiet non smoking room
view from window was of a fly tipping site.

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"The heating was out all weekend, there was no contingancy ie. extra blankets free standing electric radiators etc. The offer of a free drink or complimentary breakfast or a discount would have gone a long way to improve customer relations. I Understand a breakdown is a dificult situation but more could have been done to keep paying customers happy." (97834893)
The hotel was conveinent for where we were visiting.
The bathroom was in a poor state, there was no heating and we were not informed of the difference on breakfast times from the weekend to weekdays.

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"The room itself was spotless, and had obviously been recently redecorated. Everything worked, and the free wi-fi was brilliant as I'd arrived mid-afternoon to get some paperwork done. The only let-down was the eating arrangements - There were no bar snacks available, only a very limited and pricey set restaurant menu. The meal I ordered was disappointing and bizarre - chips in a pint pot????? Whose brainwave was that?. On the whole a very nice place, and I would certainly stay again, but would give the restaurant a miss." (97058154)
Room clean, comfortable and well appointed, free wi-fi
Choice and quality of food disappointing

Good TV reception plus Coffee making facility
Found the heating a bit too hot in bedroom and it would be nice to allocate some bedrooms that you can smoke in as many other hotels now do! It would have bedrooms should be able to be smoked in

Days Hotel Chester North, Garden City - Reviews & Ratings"Apparently, booking online gives a discount, which I couldn't see on my bill, which appeared no different than if I'd phoned. Discrepancies with the online booking meant that my work colleague's bank details hadn't been saved, so I had to pay for both of us. I've stayed here before, and probably will again, but I will not book online after this experience." (99294212)
Excellent facilities including a good gymnasium and splendid breakfast
Couldn't fathom how the alarm clock worked

The heating was not working in the hotel during my stay, I rang down to reception to find out why my room was so cold and was told the system had broken down, there was no spare blankets in my room, it was absolutely freezing during the night, I even had to eat my meals with my coat on in the restaurant because it was so cold in there, the staff wern't bothered about this when I complained.
