We used the tennis courts and pool and had no difficulty borrowing tennis balls. We could also hire DVDs for the children which was a huge help as it allowed us to have a wonderful dinner, after the children ate in the bar area. The grounds were stunning; I only wish we could have stayed longer (so I could have used the spa!) even the children have demanded we come back." (99367613)
We had a very spacious family room which had lots of facilities including an ironing board. The double bed was huge and the children's beds were also of a high standard.

Room was clean and tidy
There was a large wedding party function at the hotel and areas of the hotel were sectioned off, including the bar area, in fact was nearly assaulted trying to get a drink , even though we had been informed by a staff member that we could order drinks from the bar. Ended up staying in our room and having to use room service.

Allocated room part of the leisure centre rather than hotel, so a feeling of being put as far away from other guests (or those without children) as possible!

On veiwing the room it was seen to be small but clean. I have stayed in some superb hotels around the world for business and pleassure and im affraid this does not rate near any of the good ones. I always like to stay in Johansons hotels but this time very disapointed. I ordered a Champagne night with no Champagne which was very disapointing i had to call dow to reception at 9pm to request it..." (99167056)

It was clean, comfortable with everything we required. With torrential rain outside the swimming pool was very welcome.
We were unable to ask for a twin room rather than a double on the booking site.

The resturant staff were very welcoming and one gentleman did not catch his name was very friendly and professional. When there are weddings on we would be restricted from using the outside area to sit and relax due to the seats being booked by the wedding guests. The main bar not able to serve us due to staff preparing for the wedding and ushered to the sports bar which is not really contry manor style. More pictures on the web site of the grounds and lake they are perfect for a morning stroll although check out time caused us to cut short the walk." (3304798717)

Ardencote Manor Hotel, Country Club & Spa, Claverdon, Warwick - Reviews & Ratings"the location was very nice and it was nice for me and my wife to get away from city life to celebrate our first anniversary at this hotel. initially the price was reasonable because it came with complimentary champagne and spa facilities. first impressions were excellent and ideal for a relaxing time. when checking in we were not told where the extra facilities of the hotel were and when checkout was or anything at all and only told the directions to our room, which i thought was dissapointing. the hotel was immaculately clean and of a very high standard. very good spa facilities and the whirlpool in the hotel garden was just perfect. overall very good and would recommend to anyone." the accomodation was very clean, fairly spacious with decent size bathroom and a nice view of the hotel grounds
the first thing i noticed as i walked into the room is that it was quite dark because the window was very small

As very few people were in the hotel at this time we were virtually given a personal service. The staff could not do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. I took my wife for a short break (5 nights) to celebrate her birthday. The facilities were excellent for both of us particularly the spa, the golf and the magical quality of the food being served

This kind of thing you expect at the Local Sports centre but is out of place in this class of Hotel. The rest of facilities (particularly the hot tub)were very good. Lodge dinner was excellent
Not much choice for the hot bufett breakfast. Burnt breakfast breads. no choice of eggs. as there were two wedding parties that stayed overnight we felt the buffet breakfast was built around them. Very dissapointed

High quality hotel with relatively high prices. I sampled several Irish coffees at different locations over this weekend. Ardencote Manor's was by far not the best, yet was the most expensive. That apart, there was absolutely nothing to fault with the room or the friendliness of the staff.

3rd room was really only a single room but used as a double. Suprised that smoking was allowed in all rooms.

Not because the service or hotel was poor but simply because of the lack of value for money. I have stayed at similar hotels in the past and have got a lot more for my money. I found the room only to be adequate and on a par of more cheaper hotels like travelodge. For the money I was paying for just one night I expected to enter my room and be surprised and all I could utter to my wife was 'Is this it?'. Not what we really wanted on our wedding anniversary." A really relaxing hotel, set in beautiful grounds.
No champagne on arrival-that was part of booking terms.Sold tickets to Warwick Castle which weren't discounted as indicated in hotel leaflets.
