Really pleased with the overall feel and decor of the rooms.
Mattress quite hard as I have had a bad back. But to be fair, the hotel were not aware of my problem.

Quiet location, friendly staff, nice clean room
Difficult to find not enough signs for the hotel, coming off the A1 from London At Breakfast on SAturday food not stocked up no fruit on display, no croisants, very little bread

Excelle Very efficient and helpful reception staff. Very keen to help, definitely made the stay more hassle free. Rooms were very clean, smelt clean and shower was excellent with supplied shower and hair gel and handbasin handwash. Towels and bedding were pristine and good quality. The bed was very good and we had an excellent nights sleep.
Could do with some air conditioning as the room got quite hot during the night.

The hotel provided really good value for money. I really liked the free copy of the 'Independent'. Check in and out were very simplified. Staff were very friendly. There was a large grouping of young people also staying the night. We heard the next day that they had presented challenges to the night staff with their exuberance. We didn't even hear them! You were very flexible in allowing our dog to stay - and, more importantly, not charging us for the facility.
A light in the room didn't work.

Room was clean and television was modern, breakfast was good and the Harvester Restaurant served an excellent meal next to the hotel.
Receptionist was not friendly, the beds were on the hard side. We actually booked out early because of the noise from children running up and down the corridors from 6.30am onwards.

The staff were very helpful dealing with fellow travellers, who had a difficulty with their baby. They were also very pleasant and polite throughout our visit.
I t would have been good to have had the option of a cooked breakfast, particularly considering the weather that was around over that weekend.

Overall we found the hotel good value for money, particularly as breakfast was included in the price.
The hotel sign, when heading in the direction indicated from the main road, was poorly positioned beyond the roundabout. A sign before the roundabout would be beneficial. When parking at the side of the hotel, beside Reception, a dead end sign would be helpful, as the road appears to go round the back of the hotel, which it doesn't.

This hotel is situated in a quiet area and it was a very nice experience staying there.
Unfortunately cigarette fumes were entering the bathroom vent from another room. I did mention this problem on checkout. The receptionist did say that I should have complained earlier so he could have put the matter right. This is a lesson I have learnt and will point out any problems in the future, before I checkout. Your receptionist was concerned and I have full confidence that he would take the neccesary action, provided he was given the chance.

An ideal stop over hotel - excellent value for money. Off the main road so no sleep disturbance because of traffic noise.
A room with two double beds but one bed was a put-u-up bed and the steel bar could be felt across the middle, not a very good night's sleep for our little one - who ended up in bed with us!!!

Great value for money
The en-suite floor got drenched everytime we showered eventhough the curtain was inside the base. Curtains either need to be longer so the water weights it down or doors should be put up.

Some confusion over which beds were made up but the staff rectified this with no problem.Fair to say that we did request on arrival that one of the family rooms be changed to a smoker. Bedroom & bathroom facilities were comfortable but more importantly very clean.I personally know the minute I walk in to the room whether I will be comfortable in its cleanliness and it met with my expectations.
Somewhat surprised that the disabled room was at the end of a corridor although do appreciate that it was close to a fire exit.A member of staff assisted me with luggage leaving me free to assist my husband that was nice.

excellent value and a very easy way of getting accomodation for a family of five. Breakfast (continental) was very good.
children range from 15 to 9 (3) so could not all fit on the sofa bed.The provision of an additional 'Z' bed would be ideal as there is enough room.(just!) Air con might be good in summer!!
