"The hotel and its staff were top class, could not have expected better. From the moment we walked into the hotel we were made to feel at home. Fire in the lobby is lovely. Bedrooms are spacious and luxurious. Food is top class, live music in the bar was great as it was not too overpowering & we could still hold a conversation. Leisure centre great. Overall this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The hotel was spotless and i could not fault it or its staff." (99411780)

There was a wonderful warmth about the hotel and its staff, they were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The manager helped us with our bags to the room, asked us if there was anything we needed just to dial reception. Dinner was excellent and the waitress who looked after us was a delight. Beds were very comfortable, and breakfast was very good. Overall we got excellent value for money and will definetly stay at Woodlands again when next visiting our friends in Waterford

"At check in I was sent to a room without a bed! I was then sent to a room that was occupied and finally the 3rd room was vacant. The lighting was poor and really needed updating, otherwise the room was adequate. The hotel leisure facilities were of a good standard and the bar was typical and lively. Breakfast was standard buffet style and didn't stay hot for long. Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant." (99078455)

Close to Waterford Airport. Good leisure facilities

Room poorly lit. Trouser press not working.

"Timmy Mac's 'bistro' was delightful, and always so busy it seems everyone else thought so too. I hadn't realised there wasn't an elevator, it would have been a bonus, but the ramps were useful. The pool was great." (3305139916)

We found the hotel a well run, friendly, comfortable and efficient establishment.

My husband had a poor meal in the restaurant, though mine was good.

"Excellent hotel. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Meal in restaurant was first class." (3305047114)

    Large family room.

Even though we stated in our booking/check in that we were a family of four there were only 2 towels, cups. glasses etc in the room. Staff were quick to right this though.

"If I had known, I would have requested a higher floor due to the above and also due to the fact that one of our rooms overlooked the wheelie bins. Our restaurant bill was incorrect when we were leaving, unfortunately to our disadvantage! This was not spotted until we had paid the credit card bill and subsequently had to make another payment.Running out of coffee was a bit disappointing when the bar offers a variety of speciality coffees and it was breakfast time in a few hours! Overall we had a very pleasant stay and the vast majority of staff were very helpful. We would stay again." (2410572)

    Large room with sitting area.

Cleaning of bar at approx 1.00 each morning was very disturbing to ground floor rooms. Perhaps staff could try and be more aware of the great amount of noise being made. Smoking area possibly being moved further away from hotel entrance to prevent smell wafting into rooms when windows are open.
