Three Jammy Dodgers. Nice! Kettle boiled quicker than average. Impressive! Powerful shower. Invigorating!
Decor in need of updating. Blanket on bed had a musty odour. Insufficient number of power sockets.

Breakfast / cleanliness, helpful staff
Rooms far far too hot especially during the night, didnt know how to turn the radiator off/down. Shower in room 116 is cold, had to run the cold bath tap to make the shower warmer. Room 219 - shower too powerful and nearly took your skin off!

Staff printed out two google maps for us to get to the Cinema and Town centre.
Rude staff, did not speak proper English and some were continuiously uphelpful.

With the Wedding do on downstairs and couples having drunken arguements surely any professional hotel would put non wedding guests on the upper floors!" (97353454)
Location was ideal. And the setting looks lovely.
We wre put onto the 1st floor with a wedding do/disco going on until late hours.Couples arguing in drunken states. Room were poorly decorated too.

Barely adequate but as a stopover I didnt expect anything else.
Despite being advised that wireless internet was available I was unable to connect i was due to poor signal strength.

This was a last minute booking because the previous hotel had gone into liquidation, however, we were telphoned and informed of the change and were able to rebook by phone.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast (could be improved with some black pudding) and efficient front desk procedures.
When you consider that there seemed to be less than six other people staying, it is sad that we were roomed next door to other guests and heard all their ablutions and conversations.

The location and the proximity to the park were very nice. I liked the large open windows and view of the park, and I enjoyed sitting at the window and having a cup of tea. The kitchenette was very helpful, and made my stay much more enjoyable than it has been in other hotel rooms.
The lack of security for the suites, and installation of a security door operating with the card-key should be your top priority. Passing in sight of the rubbish bins to get to the suites is not very appealing.

Friendly staff, peaceful setting and hotel, excellent food from room service, clean room.
Corridors and bathroom could do with a lick of paint!! Made the hotel feel a little dingy. Everything else, very satisfactory.

Very friendly, helpful and efficient receptionist (Alexandra, I think). Room was bright and clean and very comfortable. Easy walking distance to centre of Welwyn Garden.
We booked a non-smoking room but there was a strong odour of cigarettes from previous guests.

All turned out to be OK Regarding below Would I recommend this hotel I have said no because I would want something in a better location however if somebody organised another event there I would be happy to return. Garden was quite nice overlooking playing fields" (99455078)
I would have been disapointed if I had paid the full price. However what I paid I felt was good value. Hotel staff very courteous and tried to assit as much as possible. The room the event was held in looked good and certainly served the purpose.

The room was very comfortable and had everything you needed for overnight stay or longer.
The breakfast was not included in the price, which made it quite expensive.

It was close to Tesco head office
The room was cold when I arrived, the TV was not receiving pictures very well there was a permanent snow effect on all channels, there was no room service and as a female on their own I do not like to sit in the restaurant area.
