Bed was comfortable if a little small for a single. Room was quiet and warm.
No toilet paper in bathroom. Very small room for the price for a single. Tea facilities were scant - didn't look like it had been refilled from previous guest. Food in the restaurant was poor. Wine was excellent.

The staff were excellent, very helpful and polite. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Price was excellent and breakfast was delicious, with good choice.
The shower did not work and as we were leaving for work that morning, we found this very inconvienient. That was the only bad point.

Staff were really friendly and the cleanliness of the establishment was great
the biggest problem I had was the shower didnt drain, so my ankles were covered in water and I had to turn it off in the middle of my shower. Its the most important part of my day.

The room was of a high standerd and cleaned immacuatley. The kingsize bed was amazing. The staff were very friendly, on leaving and returning home 400 miles away i realised i'd left personal property in my hotel room, i rang and they were there and got told they would be posted onto me.
When we got there it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon and there was no one at the check in desk, so we had to look about to find someone. Also as a vegatarian it would have been nice to see a better fried english breakfast there, maybe a vegetarian sausage added.

where shall we start, the room, the glorious bed and its lovely white cotton linen, lovely clean white fluffy towels, outlook from bedroom window lovely, complete with eary morning woodpecker call. Then there was a magnificent breakfast, which was amongst the best that we have had, anywhere in the world, if not the best. The waiting staff were so very pleasant and very attentive to the clients needs, a real rarity these days. All credit to the Feathers.
None apart from our stay wasn,t for longer.

We had to ask for marmalade at breakfast and again no decaff tea or coffee was available. overall we thought that the hotel lacked the personal touch and we felt we had been processed. The staff were polite. The room was warm and clean.
The room was very basic. It lacked character. The hospitality tray was basic and would have been improved if mineral water, decaf tea bags and fruit/herbal teas were offered. There were no boxes of tissues in the room or the bathroom. There was only one bedside table which was inconvenient with a king size bed.

No hotel directory in room. No available pamphlets on sister hotels. Cleaning staff had left window open,with a late arrival on a cold night this left the room unwelcoming on arrival(heavy overnight frost )

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable - with excellent bathroom facilities. Breakfast was also excellent.
I was due to arrive soon after 8.30pm and advised the hotel. The carvery finished at 8.30pm. There was a positive lack of assistance in terms of providing any sort of food. I ate a Chinese take-away in my car in the car park.

Minor criticism would be the lack of bedside lamp working independently of the main light so that it coild be switched off from bed.

The lodge is located in a different building to the pub, which - in our case, at least - meant no noise from patrons, traffic or anything else. Nice and quiet room, new bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Good parking facilities.
A wide selection of food both in the breakfast and the general restaurant/pub menus, but we thought the ingredients could have been of better quality.

Both rooms smelt damp as did the corridor leading to them. Would like a bedside light on both sides of the bed. The temperature of the shower was not constant.

The rooms are on the small side, probably because ours had a 6 foot bed but was cosy and comfortable. The meals are taken just across the car park in the main pub building. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The shower didn't work and I had to use a communal bath that didn't have a shower. I was furious as I was giving a presentation later that morning and didn't need the added stress. I asked for a reduction in price and was told that because I booked it via Internet that I couldn't have one! I demanded and only got £5 reduction. I intend to pursue this as I believe that by not having a room that was ensuite, and the poor experience, that I should not have been paying this rate. Very poor indeed.
