Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely resuraunt. Fantastic breakfasts. excellent evening meal.
Bed creaked. Floor entering bathroom creaked. No extractor fan fitted. No safety grab rail in bath/shower.

On a busy road, had to check out by 10.00. Some Parking but very tight spaces.

Friendly chat with gentlemen on the phone over the internet reservation. Simple but good quality accomodation within easy access of York. Good car parking.

Staff could not do enough to help us.
1 spoon between two. No hand towels on the first day. No floor towels until the last night of a three night stay. In an Attic room with windows but no view.

excellent position for walking into york, 10 Min's from York Minster. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, hotel room just as advertised, lots of choice for restaurants and pubs within walking distance.
The bedroom was beautiful but the bathroom could do with updating or re-modernising as it didn't quite fit with the room.

Room was nicely kitted out, but you would expect that for the price paid. Breakfast was superb, staff very friendly and polite
Non smoking in the outdoor garden area. Fair enoguh, hotel policy I guess, but to put signs up saying it is illegal to smoke in that area are wrong, as it wouldn't be !!! Hotel policy and law are not the same thing.

beautiful room. courtyard especially lovely.
woken up by chickens next door at 6.30 am sunday morning. last orders in the the hotel bar at 10.50 pm.
