clean and tidy. friendly staff and breakfast included!!
could hear those in the next room through double closed doors too well (luckily they weren't . . being naughty) and the toilet wouldn't flush with the shower on so had to stand dripping waiting for one to flush.

The hotel is situated at fairly quiet place as such no have human traffic. Easy and quick response from hotel staff. Allowed enough space for us to work from the hotel. My room was neat and tidy all the time.
As mentioned above the hotel is situated outside the main routes, no buses, no trains. One had to call a taxi each time there was a need to move around as such it became expensive as the taxis do not come cheaply in UK.

Bar food available all day which we were pleased to avail of on arrival. It was also very nice to have an excellant evening meal in the restaurant and then relax in a very comfortable lounge. We only stopped one night en route to Cornwall but would certainly return for a longer stay and to visit the local areas of interest." (107978887)

The pecan pie was the best I've ever had!!! Ample car parking.
Found it expensive to eat in the restaurant and drinks in the bar were expensive.

Nice clean and spacious room.
Fire alarm went off at 10pm (false alarm), but then intermittently kept going off for a further hour and a half. Not good when you have a 14 month old baby!!! NO apology from staff....that was the annoying bit.

All-round very good, from the checkout, the room, the restaurant, and the bar. All the staff were very friendly.
Only one I could think of, and that was that you could not have the bedside lights on independent of the main light.

Very pleasant and helpful staff - the young lady on reception came to my rescue when I requested the loan of a computer mouse as I had left mine at home - however I did think the £50 deposit was a tad expensive!

The first room we were given we noticed a quite loud bang which occurred every 15 minutes, we went & told the receptionist about it & she gave us another room straight away. This one was fine.We thought the breakfasts were very good.
One of the reasons I booked this hotel was to be able to get an evening meal,on our first evening we were told the restaurant was closed but there was bar meals,but whatever we tried to order we were told was not available, I had the last jacket potato which did'nt look at all appetising, the person behind the bar seemed little bothered.The outside of the hotel could have done with a sweep up

Drapes round bed could be taken away, it was hard to read without adequate light. Do ALL the lights have to be low enegy? there was nowhere one could read comfortably without eye strain. The TV picture was awful particularly chanel 1

The main areas were modern and clean. Staff were friendly albeit not particularly profesional in their approach - perhaps lack of training? They were mostly quite young.
Our bathroom was specifically for disabled customers and had a bar across the bath making it difficult for able bodied to shower or take a bath. Tiles were cracked, dirty and bathroom smelled damp. On departure, the manager called us "you guys" (we were two ladies!) and the way he addressed his staff in front of us left little to be desired. I wouldn't want to work with him!

bed comfortable, shower was nice and hot. Attractive place.
Poor lighting, 2 lightbulbs were not working. Heating was a little inadequate as it took a long time time too build up to being warm. Was told we were not allowed to bring food back to the hotel.

Main requirements were OK: beds comfortable, shower good, breakfast good, staff generally obliging.
Hotel management sloppy: we had to close fire doors, ALL still jammed open at 11.30 pm; passage light (outside bathroom) wired in with bedside lights, so bedside lights could not be used after retiring (unbelievable but true!); deafening shriek when cold taps used, in our room and all nearby rooms; bedroom carpet not properly vacuumed - loose pieces of mud/food on floor; no information available re local church services. So-called 'superior' room not as spacious as nor significantly more comfortable than a basic Travelodge room.

FIRST NIGHT FANTASTIC, STAFF ATTENTIVE ,, THEN.....
along coes a wedding party , made to fee like trespassers , guests need informing that they do not have sole use of hotel, made to feel very uncomfortable. restaurant goes downhill, food dreadful , uneible duck, refused refund, offererd sweet, lol, big deal, brekast next am , school canteen standard, what a differnce frm service day beforeboiling water frm flasks,, have we gone camping,, certainly not 3 star appaling.. no bacon, ables servittes, glasss, food baked up ,dreadful.. room very dated had a superior, god knows what a standard was like. no extras tioletrees,, poor again,, check out slow and rude arqued over bill , when realising we were right no sorrys.very noicey disco

The room was spacious and clean, I liked the option not to have your twols washed if you were staying more than one night, the whole eco thing. The restaurant was excellent and the food of a high standard and choice. The breakfast was particularly good, well cooked and replenished frequently. The staff were all friendly and pleasant as well as helpful.

Furnishings and especially lighting are rather tired (especially wobbly light fittings), and there was not enough light for working which I needed to do. Good size of room.
Room was very cold with inadequate heater. Bar staff tried to charge me restaurant price - more than double - the Bar special price even though I had mentioned it was the special and that I wanted to eat in the bar. Poor lighting in the room, therefore very difficult to work with small print or handwritten materials. Poor soundproofing to the adjacent room.

The dinner was lovely and the staff were really polite and helpful. The room was a let down though, small and not really sized for two people. The shower was really noisy and the shower door leaked. I would stay there again but I would have a superior room at the back of the hotel away from the road." (97089845)
The location was central and we were able to tour the area.
The bed was very small, we had a standard double booked for two people and yet there was only one bedside table!

Nice clean room, no problems, staff were very nice and helpful
Nothing, only that on second day the breakfast was self service rather than table sevice as the day before. The self serve dishes had heavy lids with knowhere to put them down so you had to juggle hot dishes. Previous days table service was much better.
