Rostrevor Hotel - Guest House, Bury - Reviews & Ratings"As in all things - you get what you pay for. Overall a very presentable guest house, clean, convenient to center and facilities. Value was reasonable, worth not driving back after standing for 2.1/2 hours at a concert at The Met. Will stay here again if in the area." (108321897)
Easy to find and only a short walk into City Center. Excellent breakfast.
Parking around back bit of a squeeze.

Rostrevor Hotel - Guest House, Bury - Reviews & Ratings" - Hotel disappointing. - Bury market is all that it's cracked up to be, well worth a visit. - Very few restaurants in area or town. " (108596098)
- 10 mins walk from Bury centre, plus excellent bus service. - Clean - Excellent breakfast - Plenty of hot water - Free parking
- No soundproofing internally or externally (from main road) - Poky rooms (we used two) with inadequate lighting and hanging arrangements - Nearest restaurant 15 mins walk away

Rostrevor Hotel - Guest House, Bury - Reviews & Ratings"We had a great stay and the owners bent over backwards to wait up for us when our plane arrived at 10pm and we tramped up to the door at midnight. They were on the phone with us giving directions after landing. We took a train into Manchester and then a cab to the hotel, but it took a lot longer than it needed to be. It's worth the 50 pounds to rent a cab. Tip: The hotel has a deal with a taxi company that is cheaper than hailing a cab at the airport if you book it with them ahead of time. The hotel and surrounding atmosphere was wonderful, quiet and charming. Small touches showed loving attention. Example bowl in bathroom with cotton pads and Q-tips. (something 4 & 5 star hotels don't even do)" (107488422)
Clean, comfortable renovated Victorian house central to Bury. Affordable rate including a fabulous Full English Breakfast. Very hospitable owners. The twin bedroom was large with a bathroom including shower. Breakfast room lovely with picture window looking out onto the front garden. Everything is kept in tip-top shape.
No bad points. 30 minutes from Manchester airport, by cab on the highway.

Rostrevor Hotel - Guest House, Bury - Reviews & Ratings"Very good. A nice retreat outside of Manchester (we were pleased to be away from the football crowds for the Man U Internaitonal). Very good value for money," (107657915)
Pleasant, spacious and quiet room, very good breakfast, close to public transport, close to good restaurant.
None really - one of the mattresses a bit soft but that's a matter of taste maybe.

Rostrevor Hotel - Guest House, Bury - Reviews & Ratings"it was fine for a night, but would not return" (107350264)
breakfast included in rate; parking available; 5 mins to motorway
room decor very dated; bedding very poor and unconfortable; location- very far from Manchester, but close to public transport; area seems quite deprived, would not feel confortable walking at night; 4 stars is excessive, more like a 2 stars given the decor and smell of 'old'; by a busy road, not very quiet; photos online are misleading, some rooms are very dated

The proprietor is very friendly and helpful. Pointed me to a fantastic Italian restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was excellent and a good choice.I had a room at the very top overlooking the rear of the building, very quiet just what I wanted.

Rostrevor Hotel - Guest House, Bury - Reviews & Ratings"Other than the above - an excellent experience. Would have liked some biscuits on the tea tray." (108064800)
Lovely house. Well decorated & maintained. Large room - airy and bright. Helpful and friendly owners. Chatty but not intrusive. Excellent breakfast.
Very noisy fellow guests. Appeared to order takeaway c3.30 am. Doors opened and closed loudly up to thirty times. Telephone and conversations with no effort to keep voice down. Not hotel's fault, but spoiled an otherwise good experience and destroyed a much-needed night's sleep.
