Macdonald Crutherland House, East Kilbride - Reviews & Ratings"Excellent" (97167578)
Very good value for money, excellent breakfast, clean pool and leisure facilities and friendly helpful staff.
Not really a bad point, but they say they have a dress code for the restaurant, which we adhered to for our evening meal, but obviously it didn't apply to everyone.

Macdonald Crutherland House, East Kilbride - Reviews & Ratings"No Internet Access in rooms (Very, VeryImportant for Business & Personal Travel) No clock in the room (For business and Overseas travellers it is important to be able to see the time with the curtains closed and the lights off) The Television service was poor. Very small screen and only five channels was very poor) I presonally very much dislike duvets as I find them too hot. There was no alternative bedding in the room. I continually slept under the overlay which was inadequate in terms of warmth. It must have been obvious to the room cleaner but for the week I was there nothing changed. I am allergic to feathers and all the pillows were feather pillows. The electric radiator was totally uncontrollable. If it was on the room was unbearable!" (97326027)

I particularly enjoyed the food and service in the restaurant. The only criticism I have is that the price of drink seemed a little high. All in all it was really enjoyable stay and I will be using it again." (97679203)

Macdonald Crutherland House, East Kilbride - Reviews & Ratings"Having stayed before at the hotel for our wedding anniversary celebration and to visit friends in East Kilbride, the hotel was the obvious choice for a second visit. The wedding celebrations that were going on on our first night were imperceptible and we experienced no noise or nuisance. Food is top notch (although splitting an egg for someone who likes only the 'white' proved a problem on the first morning - but it happens at many hotels we have previosly stayed at). Overall,we can't wait for the next special offer to enjoy another value for money weekend." (99177980)
The setting was magnificent. The 37 acres meant that there was seclusion. The facilitiesin the hotel were first class. Escellent breakfastand the dinner was delicious. Gym facilities superb.
Found the house wine and the tea /coffee alittle overpriced where the rest of the charges were appropropriate. Didn'texperience an occasional checkin teh gym, and as a lone user, there might be health and safety issues. Wasn't aware of a CCTV, but that would be useful for obvious health reasons.

Macdonald Crutherland House, East Kilbride - Reviews & Ratings"Overall my stay was very pleasant. I wouldve liked some body lotion to be available although the Shower gel was great. It wouldve been good to have a mini-bar in my room too. I thought that the meal brought to my room was excellent and still hot!!" (99615055)
The hotel was in a secluded quiet area, excellent bed and room service was good too. I also loved the loan of dressing gown.
The bathroom smelt a bit damp. Did not like the room being so close to the lift as I am a light sleeper.

Macdonald Crutherland House, East Kilbride - Reviews & Ratings"I have never had such a pleasant stay in a hotel. Given that it was Christmas Day with over 200 people having Christmas Dinner and despite there being hardly any people staying overnight the staff were very helpful and attentive. My parents also had a fantastic time as well I had booked the overnight stay to allow us all to have Christmas Dinner at my sisters house nearby and allow us to relax and not worry about travelling home afterwards. It was just perfect top class hotel that I would recommend to anyone." (99002487)

Macdonald Crutherland House, East Kilbride - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was as I hoped it would be. It was very well maintained, and located at the end of a 500yd drive. (I noticed a planning application to widen the drive and extend the hotel itself). Access to Central Glasgow is very good, the motorway being a 5 minute drive away (non rush hour). As I didn't use the leisure facilities I cannot comment on them. I would reccomend this hotel, but be warned, " (3304912620)
The room was spacious, well appointed and most importantly, very clean.

Macdonald Crutherland House, East Kilbride - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel was nice. Wedding meal was excellent although there was quite a while to wait between courses. I requested an alarm call which I did not receive. When we ordered breakfast we had to wait half an hour for it. When it arrived they got the order wrong. They took it away and after about 15 minutes came back with the same wrong order and we had to wait yet another 15 minutes. I was not impressed with this. I thought there would have been a fridge in the hotel." (3304259616)

Rooms well furnished and appointed. Nice touch with the bottled water. Breakfast was cooked to perfection.
Signposting of the rooms and back to reception was not clear. Corridore directions misleading. TV difficult to view in bed as is on the floor. Instructions for heating should be displayed near unit.

"Dissappointed that our booking was not made properly by priceline.co.uk" (108217478)
The receptionist had no record of our booking therefore we did not get the executive room as booked we did get offered a standard room with the same package for a reduction. We were attending a wedding that night in the area so did not have much choice but to accept. The next morning we were kept waiting for 5 mins just for a table the head waiter seemed pre-occupied and there were plenty free tables.
