Good location, good staff, good breakfast
awkward car park - but not much can be done, and better than public parking. General toilet facilities in the bar area were not up to H Inn standards and were run down and dirty, 1 cubical in the mens was out of action over the 2 days we were there.

Hôtel Express By Holiday Inn Lille, Lille - Reviews & Ratings"It was good to have car parking under the hotel but the entry and exits were very tight with space and therefore easy to scrape your car! The breakfast was really good but the breakfast room was too small for the amount of hotel guests and we had to wait in the bar area for a table to become vacant. Overall I would go back to this hotel and recommend it." (97757280)
The hotel was well situated for exploring the city and very convenient for walking

Very Friendly and helpful staff and in good location for entry into town
Location was quite noisy, which is not the Hotel's fault. However, the rooms were adequate, but the bathroom was very poor. A lot of cracked and broken equipment with damp all over the walls and ceiling

Great location near all shops and bars in a lively street. Nice views, nice room with comfy beds. Good breakfast and modern decor in hotel.
Bathroom was terrible - shower leaked so much it wet the bedroom carpet and sink was hanging off the wall. What is is with France and bathrooms - they never get them right. Parking very limited. No air con so room was very hot. Staff friendly and helpful and reception manned 24 hours which made 2 female travellers feel safe.

Clean, efficient, good location for the city and the motorway, and easy to get to when driving. Breakfast was good, particularly the length of time it was served. Nice to have late bar there as well, and staff were very friendly and pleasant. Parking available on site is a real bonus.
We booked a room for three, which was actually just a twin room, with a third bed squished in between the other two, which meant you had to climb onto your bed from the end - and the room was very crowded, and you couldn't reach any of the electric sockets as a result.

Parking on site was a bonus...Lille has a bad reputation for carpark availability.The fact that the hotel was within easy walking distance of the city centre proved to be a bonus.

Very clean and comfortable, but lacked extra pillows. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good
The bathroom tiles were in very bad order, requiring re-grouting and possibly re-tiling. The shower was broken and the waste for both the bath and basin took an interminable time to empty

The coffee machine had a mind of its own, a minor dislike really.Not enough tea facilities in the room, (only 2 containers of milk for the whole weekend)

GOOD LOCATION WITH ON SITE PARKING PERFECT FOR OUR VISIT TO LILLE,AND WELL SITUATED FOR LOCAL RESTERANTS.ON MY NEXT VISIT TO THE TOWN I WILL HAVE NO HESITATION IN USING THIS HOTEL FOR AN OVER NIGHT STOP.

The reception was good, the room a decent size, and clean and bed comfortable. The shower was broken, and could only be used as a hand shower, and the control for the bath tap was also badly damaged. Apart from those relatively minor problems, we were extremely comfortable and found the staff friendly and helpful. We would definitely chose Holiday Inn again, wherever we travel." (97696166)

It was fairly quiet! Has underground parking. Had a clean fresh smell about the place from walking in to down the halls even the room which is a pleasant suprise!

We had a very good deal on the price so it was certainly good value for money. On Sunday morning the breakfast buffet had boiled eggs & sliced ham which I liked (not having a particularly sweet tooth) ut there was none on the Monday morning. I did ask the young lady attending to the buffet but she just confirmed there was no eggs. That aside the people we dealt with were always very polite & helpful." (99648254)

Central Location, underground parking facility.
Local vagrants / drunks congregating outside both throughout the day and night. On arrival one of the 'drunks' was being sick next to the Hotel Entrance. The fact that the Hotel Bar was closed at 11pm on the Sunday night, even though we were guests and the hotel porter & receptionist were clearly not busy as they were watching TV in the lounge area adjacent to the bar.

The state bathroom was poor scruffy with limescale. bedside lamp not working & not fixed by staff when advised of the problem
