  "Towels, soap etc had been arranged for one peron. We had to ask for extra. The lavatory seat was loose: it needs to be tightened. The handbasin had no plug, English or French style. The metal ring at the bottom of the handbasin looked dirty, thus saying the basin had not been cleaned properly. The Michelin internet map shows this hotel in the wrong place. The staff were told. You should advertise your rooms as twin-bedded not double-bedded The first means two beds and the second means one bed for two people. This change would be more accurate. The man to whom we paid our bill was told.Include my name if you also display my comments otherwise I would wish to remain anonymous. Staff excellent, helpful. Enjoyed the food" (97407639)

  "It was fine for a long weekend." (97022561)

  The restaurant area was nice, the croissants at breakfast were excellent

  The bathroom was looking a bit tired, it would have been nice to have had extra pillows. Also was odd having blanket and bedspread rather than a duvet

  "The booking over the net was Ok, but what was not clear is that having given credit card details at that point, and then having to pay again at the hotel check in machine is a concern, (Would not accept Mastercard)I was told (in the morning) by the hotel (manager?) that the credit card details taken on the net when the booking is made was only for 'holding' the booking, and this does not get charged to the account. (I do hope that this is the case, when I check my next statement!) So I think that this point needs to be clearer on the website booking form." (97761802)

  clean, good value, food good.

  The check in (via machine) was 'messy' the numbers quoted on the screen/printout did not function on the machine. so had to book in and pay again (by credit card) confusing when tired from a long drive.

  Restaurant saved us having to go out for evening meal

  Room very small.Requested tea making facilities in the room but there wasn't any. Pillows not adaquate. No hairdryer. Broken tiles on bathroom floor.

  Adequate

  Dim lighting in corridors rather than no lighting and a poorly placed switch, i.e. behind a door. Number of towels should be adequate for the number of persons using the room.

  "Overall we had a very good experience from our stay. The only thing i missed was an email adress so that I could contact the hotel if needed, calling is quite expensive from Denmark. I would definately choose this hotel again when staying in Valenciennes!" (2441063)

  The room was very clean and there was space enough for all of us (4 people) nice clean bathroom with towels enough and toilet articles. The staff were very nice you really felt welcome!

  The breakfast could have been better, but considering the price of the hotel, It was ok.

  chambre quadruple trop petite et surcout 3 et 4 personnes trop elevé (10 euros/personne) heureusement petit déjeuner gratuit pour - 12 ans

  bon petit dej

  bruit de notre chasse d'eau qui fuyait. Nous sommes repasser par hasard dans l'aprés midi et notre carte n'ouvrait plus notre chambre il a fallu la changer. Heureusement car on est rentré à 4h00 du matin. Pas de vente de dentifrice en dépannage
