Central location
Unattentive staff, hotel bedroom and surrounding corridor smelt of 'cooked cabbage', food was just average and not worth the price and double bed very uncomfortable.

The location of the Hotel was near to where my business was being conducted the following day
The room was very cold although the radiator was on. The bathroom needs a major refurbishment. A breakfast of Tea & Toast charged at £5.95.

Hotel was very central and we enjoyed staying in an authentic hotel.
We found the staff were not particularly friendly and there was an atmosphere, suggesting it was not a very happy place to work. We found the breakfast service not particularly friendly and not good value for money.

When we arrived, the hotel was not expecting us! We were very lucky that they did have one room available.

I Brought my Mother in Law for a short break and we both had a lovely time. The food,staff and accomadation was 1st class.
The only bad point which is not down to any fault of yourselves, was we as many other guests also were discussing at the breakfast tables did not get hardly any sleep due to the noise from the Union Pub across the road up until 4.00 am followed by the market stall set up from 5.00am.

Lovely location, convenience to staying with family, and atmosphere.
Main problem was exposure to town noise during the night which continued until about 3pm. We accept was a problem staying in town and nothing one can do about it, but does affect wanting to stay again at a weekend.

The position of the hotel was good, enjoyed the old fashioned ambiance
noisy (from outside) room very small, hotel would benift from refurbishment, its looking well worn
