Hotel du Chateau, Beynac et Cazenac - Reviews & Ratings"This hotel is in a good location near the river. Its also very near the road, but the traffic in the evenings was OK (early June). Our room was a bit small for a double, but was OK for one night. The other room our friends were in was bigger and nicer. (no AC so could be a problem in high summer)" (99909816)

ours was a small room, for a double. I would have asked for an upgrade if we had been staying longer than one night.

you should be aware that this hotel is on the main road into town and at the time of our stay was a bit noisy

The staff are welcoming and the owners English is exceptional. The hotel was clean and the public rooms inviting, although our bedroom was extremely basic. Breakfast was wonderful and our stay represented excellemt value for money." (99480647)

The View was very good looking down the Dordogne.
The shower was not good for getting out of.

Hotel du Chateau, Beynac et Cazenac - Reviews & Ratings"Our stay in the Dordogne was the final part of a two-week driving tour of Europe, and it was undoubtedly the most relaxing and enjoyable part of the whole holiday. The village of Beynac is like something from a fairytale, with the river gently rolling past the chateau-topped hills. The Hotel Du Chateau fits beautifully into the surroundings, with simple, elegant decor, and beautifuly kept rooms. It is easily the best value hotel either of us has ever stayed in, making a mockery of the star system. You wouldn't get this level of service in a 4 or 5 star hotel. The owners, Christoph and Sarissa, provide a friendly welcome, and nothing is too much trouble. Also, if you decide to stay here, do not miss out on the chance to eat in the hotel's restaurant. You will not be disappointed." (99359602)
